“Miracle Hands” is a perfect name for this agency because finding Tierra was truly a miracle for my family and me. My father was unable to live alone and refused to move to NH so I had no choice but to have him stay in a care facility. I wanted him to have companionship, someone to help him care for his cat and I also wanted an objective set of “eyes and ears” to keep me informed about his well-being.
Tierra and my father became fast friends. I introduced her as a friend of mine who would be stop by to check in and see if he needed anything and he was happy for the company. They loved playing cards, going out to eat and seeing the local sights. There were times when they made an unscheduled trip into town because she could tell Dad was feeling a little down.
Although she was not responsible for housekeeping, she diligently kept his suite clean as needed and stayed on top of the staff to maintain standards. She deliberately did not keep set times to visit so the staff never knew when to expect her.
Most importantly, she saved my father’s life when he had COVID. Despite being fulling vaccinated my father contracted COVID. Tierra was a tireless advocate for him and insisted that he moved out the “COVID unit” and back into his own private room. She checked on him daily, monitoring fluid and Ensure intake. When she visited and found him barely responsive, she immediately called me and we said almost simultaneously to call 911. She continued to advocate and assist during his hospitalization, and was instrumental in helping me with his discharge, and in packing his belongings and shipping some items to NH and donating others.
I have had to re-write the review several times because I did not want it to be too long or include too much information that might be irrelevant to others. Tierra is a medical professional who has the highest level of integrity, compassion and skill. She communicated with me regularly and despite some cognitive decline I know he truly trusted Tierra and grew to care for her. My father is now with me in NH and when he sees a picture of Tierra he tells me “I know that girl! I don’t remember how I know her but she is such a lovely girl!”

Miracle Hands was literally an answer to prayer for me. I needed an affordable, professional option for companion care for my 84 year old dad going through chemo. I'm a Daddy's girl and a health care professional so I am super picky about my dad's care. I wanted someone who could keep my dad company, fully engage with him yet also prep meals, do light housekeeping, take him on the occasional outing, supervise his mobility and report changes to me.
