I recently experienced an aneurysm and was transported to Orange Park Medical Center. Dr. Horowitz was notified and would perform my surgery of coiling the ruptured blood vessel. My family immediately researched him and found that he was a top neurosurgeon in the nation. He met and told me who he was, what he would be doing and assured me of his experience. He is confident and also has a pleasant and direct bedside manner. After a successful surgery Dr.Horowitz was made aware of my symptoms of discomfort, pain and what felt like persistent brain freeze. He comes down to my room, and in a matter of fact tone says, “I’m going to do a spinal tap to relieve the pressure” Blood was in my spinal fluid and was causing irritation and pressure. He explained what he was doing and showed my husband after he let it drain. I felt insistent relief.
He’s awesome and I’m grateful that fateful day somehow I ended up in his care. All things neurosurgery, Dr.Horowitz is the BEST! 😊
