Not sure if Cecilio was having a bad day but I went in for a Veteran Affairs appointment for eczema that I have been treated for by dermatologists. I have been to many VA appointments and have never been treated so poorly. He Would not hear anything I had to say about the condition and claimed the VA only wanted him to report on his observations of my skin the day of the appointment. I tried to explain that he would not be able see the severity because I am actively being treated with Dupixent for eczema. But acted as though he knew everything he needed to know about my condition. I asked him to look at the new evidence I submitted from my actual dermatologist who specializes in skin conditions. He told me he did not have to look at it right now and claimed I was being aggressive because I was trying to talk to him and he refused to even hear me out. Seemed like he could t even give me the time of day. Then he told the medical assistant to let him know when I left, walked out, and shut himself in another room. Wow! Dude you’re a nurse practitioner being asked to make an assessment on medical conditions you don’t specialize in. You’d think he would want to hear the patients experience. I was so disappointed in this exam I called the VA immediately after to schedule another appointment with an actual doctor. I hope no other veterans have to experience this. Especially after having dutifully served their country.

I’ve been retired for eight years now visiting many different VA exam clinics and La Clinica del Sol is by far my best experience. The facility is easy to access and the staff was very welcoming making me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. Cecilio Cardenas took his time to provide a thorough exam and was attentive to all of my concerns. Outstanding level of professionalism and very knowledgeable of the VA process!

It was the easiest to find than the other places. The Provider and his wife were very kind. I have been to a lot of providers for the VA, and this was the best!! Not ever have I had an email of appreciation from a Provider nor have I seen my own Provider send emails to their patients as I worked in the medical field. I will use them as a reference in the future, and when they do set up office for their Urgent Care and Clinic, I will be one of the patients to go too! I want to say thank you for making this a great experience today!

I just had a great exam with Cecilio Cardenas FNP-C. I’m usually very nervous in doctor’s offices but Cecilio was very personable and put me at ease. The office is very clean and modern, located inside a larger office building. He started the exam on time and had already reviewed my file before I arrived. Thank you for an efficient exam.

First that was no waiting to be seen as some doctor offices I have visited. He really understood my ailments as I described them so there was no confusion and really understood what I was going through.
