Sat in the waiting room for 3hr with my 7y/o bleeding out her ear and in pain. They took dental pain, knee pain, and other not emergency complaints before us. We ended up not being seen. Why they want to hide behind we triage pt and take them in order of severity they apparently are not very good at triage. She was code green for an ear ache, from the triage RN who asked no questions but complained about having to do his job. Horrible place.

Knowledgeable doctors here are a hit or miss. I went in with a few symptoms, the doctor ran tests, and said that I had nothing. I was not even given an IV. I asked the doctor, what should I do for my dizziness and he said "don't move too fast", I asked what should I do about my headache and he said "take over the counter medicine", I asked what should I do about my nausea and persistent cough and he said "it will go away". I should have asked what should I do about my chest discomfort, he probably would have said to just sit down. I'm sure they're going to charge thousands of dollars to my insurance.

I looked over my paperwork and it seems that they noted extra things like a medication that I've never taken or them checking my ears. No one checked my ears.

I'm very glad this place is here because I truly didn't feel well. At least I was at the right place in case I would have passed out. I can review and Google my test results and symptoms; thank God for Google. And a big thank you to Chris for bringing me the rest of the way to this facility.

My mother went in because her blood pressure was 176/111 and she was dizzy with a headache. After running tests and them supposedly not finding an issue they sent her home without even attempting to bring her presssure down or give her anything for dizziness. When she left her blood pressure was 158/100 but they falsified the record and put 130/80 trying to cover their tracks. I’m so angry I could spit fire! What kind of facility would do such a thing? This is unheard of but you can believe that if anything happens to my mother due to their negligence they’re going to hear about it. Needless to say this is a place that she will never visit again.

I visited Monday morning and was quickly registered and informed that there might be a little wait. Several others had already registered. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The lab staff was awesome. Experience was a 10/10.

I visited today and had my bloodwork done by Ms. Ashley and Ms. Marlene, they were amazing 👏 My whole experience was a 5 🌟 from the moment I walked in. I was cordially greeted by the security personnel, the registration process was easy, and the waiting time was minimal. My first choice when it comes to my family healthcare needs.

I have been going to Baptist since I was 18 years old, but today was the last time I will seek emergency treatment at Baptist Oakleaf. Dr. Emeka Okoli treated me in a rush and discharged me in worse condition than when I arrived. I could hear him in the hallway making dismissive comments about me, even encouraging others to “pass by my room” as they laughed and joked.

The nurses—Eddie, Samantha, and Samim—did their best, even after struggling to find IV access and having to poke me four times. However, experiences with doctors like Dr. Okoli are why Sickle Cell patients continue to feel unheard and unseen. This lack of care and empathy is unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
