This beautiful yoga studio offers a quiet place for yoga with several massage rooms. Christie, the owner, has a contagious smile! After each yoga session, I have a sense of peace and calming and find myself smiling and humming a song. Feel free to arrive up to a half hour early to change clothes, layout yours or a borrowed mat, and visit before class begins. Props provided are: yoga blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets. Oftentimes, essential oils are offered to students who would like them. Please let the instructors know if you have allergies to scents. Mat cleaning spray and towels are available. Symmetry offers yoga classes Monday-Thursday at 5:30 p. m. and Mon-Sat mornings at 9:30 a. m. All the yoga instructors are well-trained with different styles that help keep students learning and improving their practice. Instructors sometimes adjust their class based on the mood and comments from students. The instructors are caring and knowledgeable in modifying poses with students who need more or less stretch or intensity. Sometimes my shoulder is tight and Mandy knows this and brings a block or blanket to help me ease into a restorative pose. Students are encouraged to fall back to a safe or comfortable position anytime they need to pause (such as child pose, lying down, or forward fold).
