Absolutely horrible people skills, rude, condescending. I could believe it, thought it was just me but the same experience on the 2nd visit. Ive since found another primary. Unfortunately my daughter picked her for her primary not knowing about my experience with Martha and she was treated the same way, except worse. I would not recommend Martha Sheils to anyone. Stay as far away from her as possible.

Love the customer service she gives!! Unfortunately not taking new patients at the moment but I wanted to share a comment how wonderful her work is! Very thorough and detailed when it comes to explaining results, very straight down and understanding and i love how organize the office was, everyone gave welcome arms walking in the office to leaving the office and made me have a very comfortable appointment will recommend!!!

Dr Sheils is the 1st doctor to completely explain the results of my bloodwork in detail. She was very attentive to me and answered all of my questions. Wish I would have found her years ago. I highly reccommend Dr Sheils.

Dr Shields is clearly more interested in reimbursement/coverage than patient care. I got lost going to my first appointment with Dr Shields. She considered it a no show and refuses to treat me. I thought do no harm was part of the oath….patient centric is not in this doctor’s vocabulary. I will also contact my insurance company to let them know about patient experience and recommend this doctor be removed from the plan. Isn’t Florida Medical an ACO I am sure specialists would like to know how Dr Shields is impacting scores.

Wow I’m shocked. I scheduled a new patient appointment with this Doctor. Waited 2 months to get in. One week prior to my appointment they called and canceled saying the doctor wasn’t taking new patients. When I call back to inquire about the vm. They said they cancelled because I no-showed 6 months ago. I did not no-show 6 months ago because I didn’t have an appointment 6 months ago.
And if I did why did you make the so called appointment?.
If this is how you run your practice, thank you canceling. I’m sure it’s a blessing in disguise.

My first appointment with Doctor Sheils was very positive and since then it has only gone downhill. She is very condescending and unkind, it’s quite disheartening. The last time I came in she looked at me and said, “do you hear how ridiculous that sounds?” after telling her my concerns. I was absolutely stunned and wish I would’ve stood up for myself. I’ve had anxiety to go back into her office since. If you’re looking for a kind doctor who is sympathetic to your concerns please go elsewhere. It seems like my first appointment was a fluke and this is just a cash grab for her.
