If I could give this a zero rating I would have!!
This is the absolute worst experience of my life in this hospital! I went in to the ER several times and was treated so poorly it was horrible they treated me like I was just there looking for pain medicine and I was not at all-I was desperately needing help!
Unfortunately I ended up having surgery there (twice in a month's timeframe) which I was told was supposed to be fairly routine... and they butchered me completely!
And the nursing staff their leaves more than what I can describe to be desired, most of them are mean, showing no compassion or empathy for what a patient is feeling or going through physically, they would walk away and leave the room while you were still talking to them or trying to, they would not help advocate information to the doctors for the patients, and a lot of them would even complain about their job- complain about having too many patients so they couldn't care for any of us, one nurse even lost my pain meds in the hallway on the way to my room and when she finally found them she came back and said "good thing I found them because I would have been in big trouble" - she had no concern for the fact that what if someone else found the medicine and perhaps it could have been a child visiting a patient they could have thought it was candy and ate it which could have cost them their life she had no concern of that part at all only that she might get in trouble! Also, they wouldn't even answer the "rapid response Bell" when you would ring it sometimes taken up to 20 minutes just to find out why you even rang the bell, when they finally would come in the room I remember saying to one of them "you know someone could die in that amount of time- I believe it is called rapid response for a reason" (they lacked on both words rapid and response!). (The only good news I had while I was there was Velva).
I also don't know how this hospital has the rating of the "cleanest hospital" because it was absolutely not!. I found garbage left all under the reclining chair beverage bottles, candy, etc...they (housekeeping) did not move things when they came in to clean they just did a quick damp mop up and actually the floor was dirtier when they left then when they got in there.
I would never recommend anyone I love to come to this hospital at all and I would not even recommend this hospital to someone I didn't love!!
Even the food was horrible, I mean absolutely horrible!
Please do yourself a favor and avoid coming here at all costs, it is definitely worth the trip to go to fort Pierce- Lawnwood hospital!!

I came in to the emergency room on sunday 3/9/25 I had turned my right knee and could not walk on it. They took a x-ray of my knee and found not breaks. They said that I needed to have a MRI done on my knee but they don't do that in the emergency room. They told me to see my primary doctor and see about a MRI. They did not do anything else for me. They was to warp it up but I had to remind them about that. Also did not ask if I could walk on it or not. Did not offer me crutches or anything. I had to tell them I needed a wheelchair to get to my car for my wife to take me home.I felt that they did not care about my problem .

From the very beginning everyone was polite. The process of checking in both in the front and registering was a breeze. Getting my blood drawn was quick and painless got back to radiology did not have to wait very long to get my CT done. Everyone was very very pleasant

I've brought my Mother in law here twice in the last week to the Emergency Room. The staff is absolutely amazing! The care they gave her was outstanding. The wait was minimal and the care was immediate. I'm am sold on this facility and their team. Of course, I'm only one person reviewing but my experience was worth posting.

Arrived with a kidney stone. No waiting. Assigned to a fantastic nurse whose name I wish I could remember. She was wonderful. Dr. Jimenez was great also. Comparably, I waited11 hours to be seen by staff at a Canadian hospital for the same issue.
Couldn't be happier with my visit!

My experience with the nursing staff was mixed; some nurses were exceptional, while others treated me poorly. I was discharged without a clear understanding of my health condition, which is unusual because I am typically treated very well there. The emergency room staff, including doctors and nurses, are knowledgeable about my health issues and are always kind and empathetic. I would like to commend the food service staff and the quality of the meals, which were excellent. The cleaning staff were the most kind and compassionate, always taking a moment to talk with me.

I have noticed significant improvements at Raulerson Hospital, but there are still areas that need attention. It would be beneficial if there was a clear chain of command for complaints to ensure that higher management receives detailed reports on issues for resolution. Additionally, having options in care would be valuable, such as a process to follow if a patient feels they are being released too soon or disagrees with a treatment plan. It would be helpful to have someone to contact for a second opinion in such cases.

In summary, Raulerson Hospital is making great strides in improving patient care. However, there is a need for better oversight and a focus on resolving patient-caregiver conflicts.”

I highly recommend HCA Raulerson. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. I was there for outpatient surgery. The entire team was amazing. I felt cared for and safe in Their hands. If you ever need care and HCA Raulerson is recommended. Don’t think twice, just go!

I had several procedures done in the radiology department. Not only were they able to get them all scheduled on the same day. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Explaining each procedure and making sure I made it to the next area okay. They were quick and efficient and even got me done early. Was so impressed with the Radiology department.
