Dr. Johnson was my sisters and parents doctor for 20 years and he made them feel special each and every visit. I used Dr Johnson when I came to Alabama and found him to be very caring and attentive.

Dr. Johnson seemed caring and competent, as I had been told by others who know him.. He asks a lot of questions and really listens to the patient. Unfortunately, his Office Manager Patty called with lab results 5 days later while I was going into a Bible Study. I told her I had informed their Appointment Scheduler and my insurance company I wanted a second opinion, diagnostic tests, and a consultation with the doctor before deciding whether I should switch to him as my primary or merely see him as a specialist (Internal Medicine). BOTH THEIR STAFF MEMBER AND CIGNA APPROVED MY REQUEST BECAUSE I HAVE FULL COVERAGE/NO COPAY WITH PCP AND SPECIALIST WITHOUT REFERRAL. I told Patty I would call when I decided and asked for labs to be called to me after Bible Study so I could write them down.
No one ever called. Instead I received a certified letter from Patty seven (7) days after she called, telling me Dr. Johnson could not see me. I called the office, but never got to speak to anyone. The messages I left were never answered.

I believe Dr. Johnson does not know about her angry phone call or the letter she sent. I wish she knew how to listen to the facts before launching into a full on tirade against an old woman who meant no harm.

Been a patient for 22 years. Love this dr an the nurses. Don't like the long wait but he is worth it.
