My mom had a terrible experience with Dr. Rizo-Medina. She went in with severe pain, but instead of listening to her concerns, the doctor completely dismissed her symptoms and insisted there was nothing wrong. My mom repeatedly requested a specific test, but the doctor refused to order it for weeks.

It wasn’t until my mom became frustrated and refused to leave without the test that the doctor finally agreed to it. When the results came back, they confirmed that she had a major infection—the exact cause of the pain that had been ignored for so long. If my mom hadn’t fought for herself, her condition could have worsened significantly.

No patient should have to beg for proper medical care. I wouldn’t recommend this doctor to anyone, and I truly believe she should not be practicing medicine if this is how she treats patients in need.
