Dr. Tara is absolutely fantastic! The attention and care she showed my son immediately put him at ease. The comprehensive evaluation done was very detailed and most importantly Dr Tara's walkthrough and explanation of the report was excellent. The most important outcome of these evaluations is answering So What and What Now questions and Dr. Tara was able to provide us with clear guidance on next steps, referral to next specialist involved in care, and involvement of the school. We absolutely adore Dr. Kim LaCivita! She came highly recommended by multiple mental health professionals when I had inquired about intellectual and academic achievement testing for my oldest. As an educator and mother myself, it was important to me to be able to get a comprehensive evaluation so I could better understand how my daughter was learning and if she had any gaps or areas we needed to work on. We broke our testing into two sessions. Dr. Kim immediately put my daughter at ease, and her evaluation was incredibly thorough. She listened to my concerns when reviewing the results with me , and it was very consistent with what we were seeing at home. After testing, my daughter asked when she could go back to meet with her again! This says a lot about the rapport she builds with children (especially an anxious child like mine) and their level of comfort with her. I would highly recommend them!

We sought an academic evaluation for our child and not surprising that Family COPE came highly recommended in Sarasota. The timing of the eval was important to us and we were able to get in very quickly with Dr. Kim LaCivita who was also able to see us on Saturdays. I cannot say enough about how caring, professional and thorough Dr. La Civita was during the entire evaluation process. In order to help our child, we have since shared the findings of the evaluation with other medical professionals (OT, Pediatrician and other Psychologists) and the school. Everyone has stated that they have rarely seen such a detailed, carefully considered, and thorough evaluation. Dr. LaCivita's unique expertise and her approachable style put parents like us at ease because she answered our questions and made our child feel comfortable during the process.
