It's a medical resident training facility for new MDs and I have been through about four new doctors in the span of a year. All of them have been wonderful in their own individual ways! On top of that, you benefit from their brand spanking new education and all the new procedures, practices and devices they bring to bear right out of university and everyone I've met actually cares. 🙂 I will be having the same wonderful Doctor (Kimberly Mayes) I have now too because she has 3.5 years to go and after that, she has said she is going to actually stay in Redding! Imagine that; a Dr. coming into and actually staying in Redding instead of going out! Miracles do happen!

The staff is wonderful. The nurses are fantastic and caring. In short, I've had nothing but good experiences in the year I have been going there. The place has really grown on me. Also, you get hooked up with the vast Dignity system (they are taking over the world...) and they pass you around to all the other relevant specialties. So, all in all, I've never felt better taken care of than in the Dignity Empire! Good people and their Christian roots make everything even better!!!

I was a patient here for 3 years!
This place put through some severe muscle and bone pain and other problems.
All because they never had my vitamin D check the most important Vitamin for your body it will also effect all 36 of your organs. I was never check for vitamin D.
That's one of the first things any good doctor would do as soon as you walk into their office, check your Vitamin D.

My experience here was great. I wasn't sure what to expect, but everyone was very friendly and the office was nice, clean, and comfortable. Dr. Zhu was kind, friendly, and very thorough. Knowing that she is a resident, I just wish we could keep her! My son probably won't take the time to write a review, but he was very impressed as well

I really had high hopes for this place and liked the idea of having newer doctors who may have more of an open ear and willingness to learn, but I honestly cannot recommend anyone come here. The first visit is essentially just to see if the doctor even wants to take you on as a patient. I was placed with Dr. Anziano My second visit went fine, but afterwards I realized the doctor never sent over my prescriptions and had only remembered a referral I needed. So I had to go back again the next month for my prescriptions again. At this visit, I brought up that my dentist mentioned my tonsils looked swollen and that I should have them looked at. Dr. Anziano also looked at them and agreed that an ENT should look at them. Fast forward to three weeks later, I'm having some pain in my right tonsil, so I call to check on my referral, and surprise surprise, upon talking with the office, it was never sent. The office apologized and said that if the doctor remembers the visit, then he can send the referral, but that he had made no note of it in my chart so there was no record of me even being seen for that. I ended up having to go an urgent care and spend more money. I had over FIFTY tonsil stones and a bad infection due to waiting for my primary to do his due diligence. Mercy family health said they would be back in touch with me as soon as possible. It's two weeks later and I still haven't heard a single thing from this place. Save your money and go somewhere else, this place is a mess.

I recently had a visit with Dr. Hung Tran for my two year old son. My son was very scared to go to the Dr and was crying when he arrived. The nurse that checked him in was very patient and kind and was able to calm my son down before the Dr came in. My son was excited to show Dr Tran his growth chart when he walked in. Dr Tran flat out ignored my son's multiple attempts to get his attention. That was his missed opportunity to connect with his toddler patient and show that he was a nice guy. What happened after that was so terrible, I walked out of the office crying. When it was time to exam my son on a very painful spot on his body, of course my son BEINT TWO YEARS OLD, started crying very loudly, Dr Tran made several comments on how he couldn't hear because of his crying and then says to me "Wow, is he always like this?" And I got alittle upset and said "Hes two and scared, give him a break" then Dr Tran dismissed my sons pain and said it was nothing but dry skin and said "toddlers overreact to any kind of discomfort " after I got my son to calm down, Dr Tran came over to finish his exam and as soon as he started to put on his gloves my son started crying again and Dr. Tran then says "I guess this is what they call the terrible twos" I was so livid at this point I reminded him again that my son is only two and scared and I said "You are not showing any compassion " and Dr Trans response was "Yeah, I'm not" in a very rude tone. And then proceeds to stand over my son yelling his name in an aggressive tone trying to get him to stop crying. At this point I stood up and told him that is no way to calm down a toddler. And I walked out. How UNPROFESSIONAL is this man to make comments like it's "terrible twos?" If he had any education on child behavior and brain development he would know that toddlers do not yet have the brain development to control their emotions. He should not be allowed to see children until he has some better training.

We had to go through a lengthy process to get my wife approved to see a resident doctor. She was finally approved, and we were excited that my wife would have a doctor again. We made an appointment. The first appointment was a complete waste of time and gas as it was a greet and tour? The second appointment was to address issues my wife was having, the reason for the appointments to begin with. The resident doctor was a third year resident and although polite, she basically refused to hear about my wife's issues and fixated on a quick physical exam where a tiny hole was found in my wife's right ear. Nothing else mattered at all, just her ear, and the resident doctor just would not listen to anything we said and ended up having her other issues completely ignored! I was livid! Spent the money and time to have her ear checked per the resident to find out that the hole had healed up, and she had ZERO hearing loss. I was under the impression that a doctor, resident or not, was supposed to listen to and treat a patient instead of looking confused as to what to do. I could go on and on. All I can say is, we haven't been back, and my wife still has medical issues and no primary care physician. She had a great primary care doctor, Amy Kwok, at Dignity Health on Court Street, but she moved away, unfortunately. Now when you call Dignity Health you get a very rude receptionist with a terrible attitude and questions not answered. What has happened to health care? They seem like ill mattered drones these days instead of caring and compassionate professionals! We do hope that this third year resident is not turned loose in public as a legitimate doctor after residency is completed unless she does some major changes and soul-searching. Sorry for the long rant, but the truth needed to be said!

I took my family in today for a travel consultation. About 45 minutes into the consultation, we were informed that they would not be able to give us the Yellow Fever vaccine (required for our destination), and that we would have to travel out of town for this. Had I known this before our appointment, I would have saved my time and theirs by making an appointment where I could get all of the necessary vaccines addressed at once.

Patty, the consult nurse was the bright point of the consult, however. She was very thorough, professional, and good with our kids.
