While I understand the doctor’s transition to a more profitable approach to patient care, it’s disappointing to be told that due to the change effective at the end of the month “we will not be able to refill the prescription that you’re out of because you’ve not signed up for the new program”. I have always had very good experiences with Dr. Forbess until now. I am very disappointed that, as a patient, my health is not as important as profit. I’ll find a new doctor and hopefully will be fine without my medication until I do but I would recommend that if you are looking for a physician that is genuinely invested in your health, look elsewhere. Thank you.

I have been seeing Dr. Forbes for around a year now because he was easy to get into and I really enjoyed him as a doctor. I just called to make an appt and they told me if I had not signed up for the MDVIP membership ($3000 a year), that I would have to find a new primary. Now I am on the hunt for a new Dr. and almost out of my medication.

As a current patient, I had been seriously considering joining your restructured medical practice model and paying the additional $2,000 or so annually. However, after learning that your office is only open until 12 PM on Fridays, I’ve decided that this schedule won’t work for my kids and me.

I also have to ask, how can you justify being open for only half a day on Fridays when, in most cases, I wait well over an hour to be seen? In one instance, I even waited nearly two hours. While I understand this new model may appeal to those who can afford to pay more for similar services offered elsewhere, it’s crucial to deliver real value. Closing early on Fridays is a significant inconvenience, and for us, it’s a deal breaker. Frankly, it feels a bit presumptuous to expect patients to pay a premium while reducing accessibility and increasing wait times.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Forbes for years now and all of a sudden he wants an annual $2000 to see him on top of the insurance I’m already paying and as of September 30 he won’t even renew prescriptions. I am very disappointed. I wish him well in his new practice but as for me and my wife, he’s not worth the extra money.

Classic example here that the best of us can be dragged online, see their business ruined, their reputation smeared.
It was released today that Dr Ryan Forbess was one of the men that saved the life of Lulu, a teenager recently severely injured by a shark. Forbess is being praised as an “angel placed there by God”, as this young lady only survived because of immediately medical intervention. Intervention provided by Dr Forbess mere yards away from the shark that attacked Lulu.
The world has become a very scary place. Praise God people like Ryan still run in when others run away. Please let’s try and process before we drag someone online that our words could interfere greatly with the ways they are capable of helping people. Thankfully, reviews on Google didn’t get in the way of this physician saving lives on the beach the way it probably has when people are considering working with him via the internet.
As the mother of a young lady Lulu’s age that is states away I’m posting this to honor the helpers that change the world. ?

The absolute worst!!!!!!! Do not go here!!!
You will not be taken care of. And then they try to charge $3000 to be a patient. The staff is incredibly rude. They are downright nasty. Do not go here!!! They are gross humans.

Now that i’m able to, I won’t go into details and want to make it clear the other staff (Receptionists, Nurses) were PHENOMENAL at Orange Beach Family Medicine, but I could not stress enough to NOT go and see Dr.Forbes.

It has been almost a month long process of having him send my prescriptions, just for him to not also send the Pre Authorization, both of which I had to call every single day to ask for an update and was met with “No he still hasn’t done it”. It wasn’t a he was too busy, he made it clear it just was not a priority to him, and even went on to say I would be just fine and notice no change if i went without my medicine (Which ANY other DR and a 3 second google search could tell you no, myself nor anyone else would be “fine” even going a single day without). My body and mind has been under so much stress not only because of this situation but also not being medicated, at his fault.

All that to say… just don’t go there!

Unfortunately for the patients the new scheduling plan has everyone waiting well over a hour to be seen for appointments. He is a good doctor however mutual respect goes a long way. I will be moving on.
