I can't even describe how amazing Dr. Ruiz is. As an only child, my mother means everything to me. She had a major surgery to remove a large polyp, and Dr. Ruiz was there for her 24/7, even on his day off after the surgery. The surgery was a success, and her recovery has been remarkable—something only possible when a surgery goes exceptionally well. His team, from nurses to PAs, is also incredible. Thank you, Dr. Ruiz, for saving my mother.

Excellent Physician and bedside manner. He is a truly amazing and dedicated Professional Surgeon truly dedicated to his patients and work. He is an amazing Doctor I had a Colonoscopy done and he made me feel comfortable and reassured me he would take good care of me. I am usually very anxious when it comes to hospital and procedures. I definitely recommend him and all his staff as well. They were excellent and provided answers to all my questions very rapidly and effective. Very much appreciated your attentiveness and service. Dr Ruiz is just fantastic, simply put he saved my life.
I don’t know how this man does it. He has excellent bedside manner, he cares about his patients, his communication is the best, he gives out his cell phone and answers in minutes. Again just as excellent as it comes. It is a privilege to be his patient. He has taken on all of my care and is aware of and manages the entire case.

Had surgery to repair a hernia and had the pleasure to have Dr. Ruiz as my surgeon. Him and his team are great, even at the post-op appt. the team at his office was awesome as well. Will recommend Dr. Ruiz with my eyes closed.

I was VERY fortunate the day I went to MARINER’S HOSPITAL emergency room in Feb., 2019.Dr. RUIZ was making rounds that day.
I was diagnosed with a perforated colon.
He met me in the ER, put me at ease and proceeded to recommend surgery IMMEDIATELY.
The post-surgical care was FIRST RATE.
I went home with a colostomy.
I returned to MARINER’S in July for my “reconnection”.
Dr. Ruiz and his team successfully completed the surgery, provided excellent post op care.
I have worked in a major University Teaching Hospital Surgery Dept.
I have no hesitation in referring patients
to Dr. RUIZ for their general surgery procedures.

I went in for a consultation with Dr. Ruiz. I was very impressed with the office, staff and practioners. No long wait times. Dr. Ruiz is very professional and caring about my medical concerns. I highly recommend him if you need to see a surgeon for anything. We had a colonosxopy.
