Poor communication between staff members and their own doctors' orders. The doctor asked for a follow-up in person with me just for the staff to try and schedule me with someone else and not inform either party until the time of the appointment.

While, Dr. Packey was really sweet, his staff leaves a LOT to be desired. First making you jump through hoops just to get an appointment. Been working in doctors office for better part of 22 years and it has always been their responsibility to obtain records from previous physician offices. In addition, when asking if they participate in medication assistance programs it was advised that "they do not fill out paperwork". Wow. Did not realize that sending a Rx to a company was that difficult. Would not recommend due to front staff.

Lisa and Kim were absolutely amazing, from the beginning to the end . Dr. Kanuri has an amazing bedside manner and and a way of making you feel comfortable. I was extremely nervous and the entire staff made me feel at ease… highly recommend

This place is absolutely disgusting. The women that work in the office are not even human beings. The way they treat people is disgusting. I am owed money never received it. I got hung up on and cussed at. Initially with my first appointment I came in with my baby because I had nobody to watch her and one of the nurses said you don’t have anybody to watch your baby like it’s wrong for me to bring my toddler with me to my G.I. appointment. I was hung up by the manager several times when asked to speak to a different nurse or a doctor. I was never given the chance I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and anybody else that I can so everyone knows that this place should not be running a business whatsoever with the inconsistencies and, the uncleanliness and the rude and unprofessional, nurses, doctors, etc. DONT COME HERE!!!!!! Anywhere else but here!!!!

Bedside manner was nonexistent. Doctor Kirin and his staff are insensitive and rude, and completely unprofessional. Treated my sister like she was just a name on the schedule, when you are giving someone life changing results you would think human nature would cause you to be compassionate, not in this case. I don’t recommend this practice at all

Nice, professional people and great experience under Dr. Kanuri's care. Clean facilities and comfortable environment. I would suggest from the amount of people I saw being treated in one day that not many happy customers are leaving reviews. Yes there was a wait, but I was expecting things to not be perfect considering the potential complications that may arise in their field. Very happy with my experience!

I had an excellent experience at Hernando Gastroenterology Associates. I would absolutely recommend to everyone to go there if in need of their services. There was a reasonable wait time and all office staff were kind, friendly, helpful, and demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and responsibility. Dr. Kanuri and his staff all showed compassion, listened, were very thorough, and went above and beyond to help me, following up on my health before and after my procedure. This is exactly the right place to go for quality healthcare services and doctors/staff that you can trust.

Although my first visit resulted in a two hour wait, I was quick to forgive upon meeting and talking with Dr. Packey. He was very thorough and when I mentioned a serious medical condition my husband had, he took time to explain the emergency procedure my husband had done. (It was unfortunate I had not been given an opportunity to talk to my husband’s doctor to learn about the cause or prognosis.) Dr. Packey suggested giving a second opinion for my husband. He also performed a procedure on me. The office and staff were very helpful and Susan made a special effort to make sure my husband who had recently had a hospitalization, was able to wait during my procedure. So far, I am very pleased with Dr. Packey and his knowledge and his willingness to take time to discuss my medical issues as well as comfort me with knowledge regarding my husband.

7/14/21 Follow up: Appointment scheduled today, and I called to make certain appointment would be on time only to learn that Dr. Packey had been out sick this week and my husband would be seeing a PA. Note, we rushed a 1,000 mile trip back from seeing our mothers for this appointment and his office did not call to alert us. (Edited) While this oversight is not Dr. Packey’s fault, his staff should be advised how to handle these types of situations.
