I’m writing this on behalf of a family member and am extremely frustrated with this doctor’s office. For something as routine as a prescription refill, they insisted she come in for an appointment—just to be weighed for a weight loss drug that had already been approved by her insurance company for the next six months. Weighed!? Her condition hasn’t changed, and there was no need for a follow-up. This has been a common practice at their office throughout her time as a patient of this physician no matter the issue. Even routine labs with no significant findings. It’s clear they’re only trying to bill insurance and profit off patients unnecessarily.

Prescription refills should not require pointless visits unless there’s a genuine medical need. This office will be reported to her insurance company, as we believe their practices warrant an investigation for fraud or abuse of claim submissions.

Everyone in the office is so friendly and sweet, especially the receptionists. Sarah is incredible and helped me out so much with a minor scare. Everyone else I’ve met has greeted me with a smile and kindness. Dr Dawn and Dr Perez are both phenomenal, they treat you more than just a patient. I have been coming here several months now and I’ve loved my experience every single time. I’d absolutely recommend this doctor’s office to anyone:)

Long wait times but I loved that they reached out to me to schedule mine & my sons annual physical. I had been meaning to get around to it but they beat me to it. Dawn was amazing!!! She’s got a great energy & was so kind to my 7yo son. She explained step by step what she was doing before she did it & she joked around with him a bit
When it was time for my son & I to do our blood work, the nurses drawing out blood were so kind gentle and patient & made my son feel comfortable. The girls at the front desk even gave him stickers
Overall, I’d give it a 9/10 just because I did have to wait 30ish mins to be seen

Worst place go to. Stay away! Dr. Mariela "acts" as a celebrity actress smiling, soft spoken, an understanding but what she does with one hand, she undoes with the other since she fails to follow up patients procedures. This i d i o t never sent a paperwork for my mom's physical therapy under excruciating pain. But the worst part is they sent her bills that she wasn't supposed to pay since she got Medicare, and my dad was never informed about that in the first place. We still had to pay those high bills just to get out of that den quickly even we didn't have to. The front desk man there is disingenuous and rude and never explained to us why they never sent those important paperwork to the social worker. He never offered an answer for their delay and always said "I don't know". They promised they will but again, they failed again and never were sent out. Personnel are young, entitled and everybody acts hunky dory. One of the nurses made inappropriate comments and I saw them giggling at patients' back. The location is a sardine can packed with bad-tempered impatient patients. Too small for such amount of needed people. Turns are never respected and you have to go around two hours in advance to be attended. Do yourself a favor and find any other place. There is not too much places around even tho since healthcare is the worst in this area but I think they won the #1 price.

I can't wait to change doctor's. Dawn has been my nurse practitioner for years and she is the best. Mind you I saw Dr Perez once in 6 yrs. I'm leaving because the front desk is absolutely terrible. Dr Perez is never there

If I could give this place 0 start I would and is not for the doctor or the nurse practitioner they are amazing , but the staff that they are hiring in the front of the office . I been going to this clinic for the past years probably since I move here to homestead , at first the girls that they had they were very good but now the ones that they have are ghetto and have 0 customers service. You can call the place more than 10 times and they would put you on hold or don’t pick up at all to me to be a doctors office is ridiculous if I’m calling is for a reason .not to mention that you can go to your apt earlier or in time they will take more than 2 hrs to see you but if you go 5 minutes late they won’t see you because you are late . They need to do better on the people that they hr because we all pay to go there is not a free service .

Worst customer service. The girls in the front desk are really bad and young, no experience. The front desk girl her name is Denise it’s terrible and racist. I spoke to her in Spanish and English when I visit the office and I called over the phone and she said she couldn’t help me because she didn’t understand the language. There is no education whatsoever they only put you on hold for a while and the wait is terrible a 2 hour waiting even when you show up on time to your appointment.
Worst place that I’ve ever been and I went there to try a new doctor. I totally regret it. Never again specially that young lady in the Front desk. Dennise is her name.

Edit: I just want to update my review here because some of these negative reviews are straight up lies! I've been a patient of Dawn's for 10 years, so I should know. These people must be new to Dade county and not realize how hard it is to find a good doctor/nurse practioner who really cares down here. I'm a man whose health is fair at best and I've had to come in much more often than most people see their doctor and I've heard these kind of people hurling abuse and screaming their heads off at the wonderful young ladies at the front many times and they're always in the wrong. The girls at reception absolutely don't deserve to put up with that crap and they handle it with professionalism and aplomb. So take the negative reviews with a *tablespoon* of salt because none of the things their saying have ever happened to me in the many dozens of appointments I've had over the last decade!

Dr. Perez and Dawn are wonderful. They've helped me to understand my disabilities and their causes greatly and have always been friendly, caring and helpful. The staff as well are excellent and professional. If you're looking for an excellent family doctor or GP in the homestead area I highly recommend them. Even the physicians they recommend for referrals are generally excellent as well. Honestly, this was the first doctor's office I've been to that was any good since moving here 15 years ago. I really can't recommend them any higher.
