My 15-year-old son received his scoliosis diagnosis a few years ago. When we asked his pediatrician what to do next, he quickly answered "just wait and see", and told us to make an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon.

Since the appointment with the surgeon was a few months out, I wasn't going to just "wait and see". I quickly began my research to see what else we can do. My local chiropractor recommended Dr. T. as a leading expert in scoliosis reduction. I didn't mind driving 3 hours to Naples just to see him.

Everybody in the office was friendly and professional. They made my teenage son feel at ease, and motivated him to work towards his goals. After x-rays and a thorough analysis, Dr. T. took his time to explain the process, and the possibilities, answering all of our questions along the way. He created a custom brace specific to my son's needs. Erin taught my son a series of movements and exercises that he needed to do every day. The Scolicare system was so successful, that not only were his curves reduced from moderate to mild, but also his confidence level came back by actively participating in the process. Our family’s experience with Dr. T and his team has been outstanding. Five stars is not enough to reflect how strongly we recommend his care. Over the last year, he has provided personalized, modern, and most importantly, successful treatment to three of us (my two children and me). The results have been life changing. Our two children (age 9 and 10 years) were diagnosed with scoliosis and kyphosis and already had noticeable spinal curvature, but their pediatrician and several orthopedic specialists simply recommended waiting it out until it worsened enough to use a 1950s-era brace contraption and predicated as a best-case being able to avoid eventual spinal surgeries.

Our consultation with Dr. T could not have been more different. He spent two hours with each of my children to fully understand each of their unique curvatures through a comprehensive clinical exam and multiple digital x-rays. After analyzing the results, he explained in terms the kids could understand their tailored and personalized treatment plans and respective needs. He also explained to the kids how ScoliCare braces would work and the importance of wearing them as prescribed. Not only did my kids understand and agree to the treatment, but they were excited for the tailor-made braces to arrive so they could start wearing them.

I was so impressed with Dr. T’s approach that I scheduled an appointment for my own chronic back and posture problems. Unlike countless other doctors who had basically told me to live with the pain, Dr. T took my pain seriously. Just as he did with the kids, he explained to me the personalized treatment plan and how the tailor-made ScoliCare brace would address them.

We could not be happier with the results for all three of us. Over the course of several follow-up consultations (including updated x-rays) we could see steady improvement. After several months, the kid's spines have improved so much they are now in the normal range and their posture is visibly improved. As for me, my back pain has disappeared, and my own posture has improved significantly.

No words are strong enough to express my family’s gratitude to Dr. T and the ScoliCare team. My kids and I wholeheartedly appreciate him and highly recommend him for treatment. He truly cares for each one of us.

One additional detail, our situation is unique in that we were living overseas throughout the treatment. After the initial consultations in-person, we were able to continue the follow-up consultations remotely. Dr. T and his team were extremely accommodating with arranging telemedicine appointments and very responsive to questions by email and phone. They made a potentially complicated situation very easy, once again demonstrating their total commitment to their patients.

I cannot recommend this place enough! I was at a physical for my job and the nurse commented that one of my hips is slightly higher than the other. She told me I should go get checked for scoliosis. I wasn’t even getting my back checked as part of my physical. She explained she used to be a CT nurse and had a few patients over the years with scoliosis. I never thought at 25 I would be going to get my back checked but here we are. I delayed it for a while not sure exactly where to go to get checked. I just happened to have to go to the Best Buy right next to it. I popped in the see if they had appointment and they were super accommodating since I was leaving in a week for work. I think everything was meant to be. I absolutely love my brace. I work in hospitality and I wear my brace during the day, while working with a jacket and none of the guest have ever noticed. It hasn’t affected any of the work I can do. The brace was so much easier to get used to than my mouth guard. Now I love wearing my brace! I sleep so much better because of my brace. I have less knee pain. I used to get massages all the time because my back muscles were sore and I always thought it was because of my job. Now with the brace my muscles are hardly ever sore or tight. You don’t even realize all the little effects of having hyper kyphosis or scoliosis until you start to correct it. It has just become part of my everyday routine when getting ready for work. Everyone in the office is so nice. It doesn’t feel like a doctor’s office. It is much more relaxed and good energy. I always look forward to going to appointments. They are so knowledgeable and are so good at explaining things. You can customize your brace and pick a cool color or pattern ( which I love). It makes it so much more interesting, and less medical feeling, than just a white brace for me. They do adjustments to your brace while you are there for your appointment. I don’t have to send it anywhere or wait to get it back. If you were even curious about this place I cannot express how highly I recommend checking in and just doing an initial consultation.
