I have nothing bad to say about the office workers. My only complaint is with Amy Strobbe under her care. I was misdiagnosed two separate times which led me having to go to the ER. I continue to stay with her for over 10 years and she recently dropped me as a patient And made up some bogus story, but the real reason is because I am a self-pay customer so she can’t milk me for my insurance. I find that deplorable and I feel her business practice is absolutely despicable. I would never recommend her to anyone.

There has been nothing but problems with Gulf Coast Medical Center. The last straw was when I made an appointment with Dr. Strobbe for a female issue. She was not available…nothing new there, and I was supposed to see her PA. Drove 40 minutes and took time off work to sit in the waiting, get called back to the exam room where the nurse scrambled around for several minutes to tell the PA wouldn’t see me. Never even took vitals. They don’t care about you or your health. I will never go to Gulf Coast Medical Center again.

If I could give negative stars, this place would be the winner!! I called to see if they were taking new patients, when I told the front desk clerk i lived in Homosassa, I was told by her they only see people from the Trinity area. I informed her I was referred to them by a fellow shipmate who lived 2 miles from me, who goes there and she then said ok. I made an appt to see Dr. Strobbe, instead at my appt I was asked to see the P.A., no problem. I was sent for blood work, xray on my knee, xray on my thumb for trigger finger (knowing that's not for diagnosing), and CT scan of my lungs. I had a scheduled video appt 2 weeks out. Day of the appt. they were an hour late, had the blood results but none of the imaging. They only then asked where I had it done. So not ready for my appt that day even with being an hour late. Prior to the appt. I did receive a phone call to confirm schedule and was told I would have to pay a co-pay. I told the person who called "I have Medicare and Tricare for Life". She stated I had Tricare Direct. I asked her to explain that and she said I had to go to a military facility to use my Tricare. I informed her that's not correct, and she said she would look into it further and let me know...ok, thank you. Fast forward to the next week, I had an appt with their dermatologist. While in the waiting room, I get a call from them to confirm my appt for tomorrow to go over the CT scan and xrays they weren't prepared for the previous week.
They ask me AGAIN "where did you get your imagining done"..so again I tell them. When I hung up I called Sugarmills Diagnostic and asked them to email my results to me...took 5 minutes. They happen to call me again in the waiting room to confirm my appt, I told her I had the results and she asked me to email them to her. Not sure what the issue was with them getting the results. My appt for dermatology was at 1015...the dermatologist came in the room at 1115. Looked over my body, marked some skin cancer spots, a couple she said she believed to be melanomas, gonna take some samples of a few spots. She leaves the room and the assistant informs me I owe 2 hundred and something from previous appt and the one today. I'm confused...I say "I have Medicare and TFL"..AGAIN, they state I have direct care Tricare and they don't accept that...I said that's not correct, I'm not paying anything halt the procedure...and I'm on the phone with Tricare getting dressed now. Tricare proceeds to say they are wrong, I have Medicare and Tricare for Life. I go back to the front desk, and the receptionist continues to argue that I have Direct care and can only go to Military facility. Now, 2 weeks ago when they called for a copay for the video appt they were suppose to look into this matter...OBVIOUSLY, that along with getting my results was just too much for them. So needless to say I'm pretty pissed. I drive over an hour each way to go here. The receptionist can't be bothered to pick up a phone and call Tricare. So, I canceled all appts, told her she is wrong, asked if she has received anything back saying payment is due...no...ok, well if you do send me a bill....but you won't get one. So I called Tricare for Life AGAIN. The receptionist Brooklyn, is pulling up Tricare East...I'm TRICARE FOR LIFE!! NOT EAST NOT WEST...LIFE!! Definitely need some training!! Research, time management, billing, preparation for appointments...something!! Horrible horrible!!

So here is what is happening to me at this clinic. First I was double charged with a co-payment bil. Had to produce the receipt to prove that I already paid my bill with "Care Credit" Next I was set up for a Televiist which is free with my insurance. well they wanted to charge me for an in office appointment. So finally go that straighten out and signed for my televisit only to wait an hour before canceling. Now I re schduale a new appointment and was able to go over my labs with the doc. Two weeks later I got a bill for a office visit. Called over 5 times and just got voice mail. So I still have overcharge and no response with the billing dept. MY WARRNING TO YOU IS KEEP ALL YOUR RECEIPTS AND CHECK YOUR INVOICE/BILLING STATEMENT!!!

Excellent place including Doctor Amy, Dawn and the office staff. My daughter has special needs and the patience , compassion and understanding of her needs, demonstrated by all, is heartwarming. We are both delighted and blessed to be able to come to this office.

I moved from Texas - where I had an amazing doctor - to Florida where I’ve been struggling to find someone I mesh with. Dr. Strobbe and the entire Gulf Coast Medical team have made me feel confident and comfortable. All of their offices have pleasant waiting areas. The staff seems happy to be there. The fleet of residents who do preliminary work-ups are professional and personal, and Dr. Strobbe herself is aggressive about patient care while still being kind.

Also? This practice uses technology well and wisely.

Highly recommend.

Was in and out. The nurse practitioner was the kindest professional in this industry I ever meet. She was patient to listen to my issues and concerns. I am so excited to have this as my new primary. I highly recommend
