They canceled my appointment the day before and knew months in advance that the new doctor that was taking over didn’t take my insurance. Only to find out that it was Optum that wasn’t taking my insurance. They sent me a letter a month before informing me that I would be seeing a new doctor, but the front office failed to check my chart and see what insurance I had. Now I have to find another doctor and start all over. This all could have been avoided if they would have done their job correctly. I still haven’t received a call from anyone. My appointment last week was to renew my BP medications which I’m low. Your office never informed Tricare that your not accepting them anymore! And you never contacted my husband who also is a patient there to let him know that he needs to find another doctor. This is so unprofessional!

I want to leave this review because others need to understand how Optum runs this office. I urge anyone with Tricare to avoid this place because they have stopped accepting it. However, I was never notified, but I only found out when my wife was told less than a day before her appointment that they no longer take our insurance. They informed her they had not taken Tricare for a while now, even though she had been getting her meds refilled and lab orders for the provider. Please know we are not new patients; we have been visiting this office for years. I find it rediculous that they stopped taking Tricare insurance and make no effort to reach out to their patients to let them know they need to seek a new practice. They also contacted my wife, retracted their message, and NEVER called us back.

I have been to many doctors offices, and this office is one of the very worst. They honestly don’t even deserve one star I don’t normally write reviews but this time I have to. It’s not the doctors it’s the people in the office. Let me give an example I just had hip surgery a week ago. The doctor was afraid I had a blood clot in my leg so she wanted me to have an ultrasound so I get to the imaging center I’m waiting about an hour, and the girl comes up to me and says she has not received an order from my doctor‘s office. She’s called the office four times to try and get the order as to what they’re supposed to do for the ultrasound long story short we had to leave there go to another imaging center and have to wait again to get an ultrasound. This is happened numerous times they just can’t seem to get it together. It’s no wonder why the office only gets a 2 for a rating. Never again.

Dr Lavida Thomas-Richardson, MD is hands down, my favorite Dr I have ever had. She explains everything, in detail, in a way that anyone can understand. I believe she has extended my life, saving my life. She went over details, that past Dr’s have ignored advising me. I recommend Dr Thomas-Richardson to anyone serious about their health. The staff is friendly as well. I’m glad I found Optum at the Ridge location.

This place is a joke! Front office doesn't now policies! I lost my insurance & was willing to self pay & was told they don't do that when their website says different! They have dropped the ball several times as far as my care goes! Horrible primary care provider! Horrible!

Great nurses and Drs. And Staff! The girls in the front are the glue to the great work that is done at this office,they are the ones who make work in the back,nurses,doctors,techs they,makes their jobs easier where they can take care of the patients and not have to worry about what is going on up front. The office staff,you all have a fantastic crew there and want to thank the ladies who do the referrals,everyone thinks that is easy just to get a referral but it really isn't especially when you have as many patients that they have to get referrals for! Been with you all for over 5 years seen a lot been through lots of changes with you but I want everyone to know when I call and need something or sick,they are right there for me and all of this office they make me feel like I am the only patient that they have. No one has ever,ever out me off on any big or little problem I have ever had. Thank you all for taking care of me for over the years!

They are great at scheduled appointments. But don't call if you are sick, they will diagnose you over the phone. And don't call if it's late in the day because the nurse or whoever will be rushed and won't want to listen to what you say. This has happened to me twice. Can't wait for the new year, different insurance and a new doctor.

My primary care doctor is out on medical leave. A fill in doctor wants to rewrite my medical history and change my treatment plan from 4 other Davita doctors I have been seen by and a Therapist. Suddenly, I have an expert Diva of Doctors making decisions and not even reading my file of 19 years with Davita. One change in primary care doctors can make a difference, be careful.
