Lovely presentable woman however…. clueless, with no follow through.

I have a groin cyst/bump. I had her order an ultrasound, then I asked for a CT scan. Then I leave a handwritten note at her office (1 of 3 over a 4 + week period of time) asking for a biopsy of this thing in my groin. No response so two days later (after I leave the note) I go to see her because she wants to see “it” before ordering a biopsy.

No kidding, both she and her assistant asked me how the cyst on my BACK is. I had an ultrasound AND CT scan on my PELVIS and SHE ordered these tests so you’d think they would be acutely aware, of my issue. My back, was not the issue!

They agree to order a biopsy. I call Proscan, no openings. So I make some phones calls and thankfully through NCH Medical Diplomats I get in to see an Interventional Radiologist. I have 4 enlarged lymph nodes. So… how is this “missed” on my first Ultrasound?
Secondly, I NEVER get a call from her. She’s an APRN, so I expect to hear from her, not her assistant or the front desk who can’t answer any questions. If you are working with an internist, you’d hope you speak with them about results, or at the very least, their APRN or PA.

Here, I’m relying on the APRN (who told me at our first meeting, she was a great diagnostician) who doesn’t bother to talk directly to the patient. Not only that, clearly doesn’t know what body part is having the issue.

God help those who can’t speak up for themselves and find (and afford) help.

Run away from this practice and be your own best advocate!
