Awful! Will be moving doctors!!

Appointment at 8.30, me and my ill partner was made to wait outside in the cold.

Partner got seen at 8.30 this morning. Came out latest 8.45 and sent to a chemist off site (they have their own chemist) and out of our way from home (we have a chemist just down the road where we live)

Chemist not received prescription. Tried to call general enquiries at the Lion Health as that was the only option that suited our needs but doesn’t open till 10, even though the practice opens at 8.30

Drive back to lion health to have the receptionist be extremely short and blunt with us. Her name is Melanie. RUDE!!!!!! She needs a new career or some major training!!!

Turns out the doctor my partner saw wasn’t a doctor who could send off prescriptions, had to wait for another doctor who was conveniently was in an emergency, and conveniently out of the emergency when I started playing my face. At this time it had been an hour since my partner had been prescribed and still not sent off!

Eventually it was sent to the chemist on site (why they couldn’t have done that in the first place) and at this point we had been waiting an hour and a half since the prescription!

Absolutely poor!! Never before have I seen such poor treatment, especially from a sector that’s meant to care.

Rude receptionists,
I've been trying to get an appointment for 5 months regarding issues with birth control. I finally get an appointment 3 weeks in advance of call, to then receive a confirmation text for a smear only appointment and to cancel and to rearrange for any other reason.
The last appointment I had, the doctor took a personal phone call regarding their daughter buying a car, while I was still in the room asking for help with the same issue I have currently. They didn't examine me, despite my asking, and I have been trying ever since to get an appointment regarding the same issue.
This place is an absolute joke and completely dehumanising

Rang for an appointment this morning - the call was answered very quickly and professionally, I was offered an appointment within 3/4 of hour’s time. I was seen by a ‘physician associate’ who was very knowledgeable - she said she’d prescribe what was needed and I was able to pick it up within 15 minutes. Excellent service all round!

What do you have to do to get an appointment here; backward somersaults? I have wasted over half an hour on their automated phone system being admonished not to be aggressive with staff and exhorted to get vaccinated, still no appointment, still no annual blood test which should have been sent out automatically months ago.

Worst doctors I have ever been to, couldn't get any appointments for months, ended up ringing 111 as symptoms got so much worse 111 got me a emergency appointment, doctor didn't seem to have a clue asked me to do a sample, I did this and sent it in, I then got a phone call asking why I'd sent a sample in as there was nothing on the system. I told the nurse what the doctor wanted to test for and the nurse had to Google it to know what it was. She said if I hadn't heard anything then the sample had been sent off and they'd be in contact with results, I didn't hear anything and no one had a clue my appointment even existed.

I only have 1 star because zero wasn’t available. This ‘medical’/ commercial facility is quite possible the worst service in any industry or sector I have ever experienced. There is no customer service at all, the public are treated with such contempt it defies belief. The ‘booking’ system serves only as a barrier to access rather than any form of assistance. Telephone lines open at 8 and from 08:00 are instantly fully booked. The insistence on seeing a GP resulted in seeing a Nurse Practitioner who was practically writing out a prescription for drugs as I walked in, merely a pharmaceutical sales rep . I had previously told the ‘receptionist’ what my condition was , as you are not even allowed to see anyone without divulging personal information to this admin person. After no medical assessment or examination, merely a conversation where she repeatedly googled for answers , I was 1) Prescribed painkillers and told they would be available at the nearest chemist to me - only to walk 40minutes to them and be told the nurse practitioner should not have told me this as they don’t carry those painkillers and would have to order them in (it’s now been over 2 weeks and no painkillers) and 2) That I would be referred ‘quickly ‘ for urgent physio - again , no contact, not even a letter at some point in the future for urgent physio … nothing!
I would like to think this was a one off, but no, this appalling service is time and time again and with every single person I have ever spoken to about Lion Health.
They no longer offer over 100 treatments that are now deemed non essential .. such as hearing related treatments . In order to save costs . You can see where the savings are by the very expensive cars outside. This is no longer a medical facility to help people it is a commercial operation to help their profits. Anyone even thinking of moving to Stourbridge should consider this if they were to ever need a doctor .

WELL DONE LION HEALTH - & DR VICKY HOBBS.
I went to Lion Health last Tuesday for a routine appointment but Dr Hobbs was concerned about a few aspects of my health. Eventually, she called for an ambulance & was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for tests. The ambulance crew & all the hospital staff were pleasant, efficient & smiley. We arrived at RHH about 7pm & l left at midnight. I returned the following day to complete the tests. At Lion Health, Dr Hobbs was constantly ringing consultants for 2 hours & stayed long beyond her shift. She was high professional, friendly and clearly concerned - empathetic not sympathetic. I am OK now. Thanks to all from the bottom of my heart.

An app blocked with adverts and 100's private options for treatments we should have free routine access to? The complex maze designed to block and confuse any and all callers, then the 20 minute wait? A privilege to present only one point only in 10 mins with an actual physical GP you may know? Strike actionNothing less than an attack on patients. Bring back Worcester street....
