They should not be listed for 24/7. I called them at 10pm and it’s 12am and I am still waiting. This does not make any sense the same person answers the phone talking low like she is sleeping. The only way to get through is pressing 1 saying you will leave a review. When you really need help no one is available.

Great place.. great staff… sometimes the security is very unaware of the clientele demographics. This leads to people in serious need being deferred due to disrespectful treatment by an outside party staff. I suggest this organization (dmh) screen their security for persons equipped to deal with this clientele that frequents this building 9-27-2023

Hopefully you aren't as broken as I am, because you won't be helped. "Higher level of care needed", however DMH or Medi-cal can't provide a psychiatric worker above a social worker, NP, PNP or similar. Seemingly our tax dollars are used on fantasy YouTube ads instead of actually helping those who are actually seeking it.
They simply don't have real psychiatric workers with more extensive experience which has not helped me one bit.

I would strongly advise against the use of this department. A health department employee misappropriated patient information and was viewing interest profiles

I leave in Virvinia state and I've been looking for my son for the last past week who is a resident in los angeles since Feb 2017. I reported him as missing man with LAPD and they found him in one of the mental health clinics. The officer gave me the 1800 number and explain to me that they will help me to call them.

I called this office and they were very helpful, they explain to me step by step and told me what to do ..... I asked somemany question each one of them were answer clearly detailly. Thank you very much for your help.

There are some shining stars here. It's a tough job, I wish they had more support for them, so they could help more people faster and uniquely individually.
