Office continually makes patients wait 40+ min for simple lab work - no provider interactions. Each time they take back multiple patients who came after I’ve arrived. This is all over appts they require - not an issue/appt I’ve been needing to schedule. Blatant disrespect and disregard for anyone else’s time.

Avoid this office at all costs. Do NOT go here if you’re looking for quality healthcare. I was fooled by their beautiful website and all their claims to cater to the LQBTQ+ community and how much they “care” about people. I made an appointment over the phone and had all of my insurance switched over to this office. I’ll be honest I was excited to go in based off everything I saw on the APLA website.

When I walked in the door the woman behind the desk glanced up at me then back down to her computer. I stood in front of her and received no greeting at all. I stood there a few moments until I said “Hello” and she glanced back up and said “mhm” ( like I was annoying her to even just be there). So I said I have an appointment I’m just checking in. She asked for my name and DOB and then said with a bad attitude, “you don’t have an appointment today”. I said I did and I made it over the phone with xx and it was confirmed. She said “your appointment is a month away” and I said well there must have been an error on your end because I wouldn’t have come all the way here today ( 35 minutes away) without an appointment. She then got very annoyed and said you have no appointment, you’re definitely not being seen today so you can just come back in a month.

Not any “let me see if there’s another appointment sooner” “let me look into this”
She didn’t even bother to say I’m sorry or have a nice day.. I just ended up feeling horrible and I just said okay thanks and walked away and back out to my car.

The feeling that place gave me immediately made me call my insurance and find another PCP. I will never be going there again and I would never put my health in the hands of people who clearly don’t care AT ALL about you.

I called back to cancel my upcoming appointment and the gentleman on the phone just goes “okay it’s cancelled bye”

Didn’t ask once why I was cancelling or if I would like to reschedule. This place is like a puppy mill for people. They just want you in and out and to make money off of you. Healthcare in the US has gotten really sad.

Been a patient at APLA for at least 6 years now. Dr Gladstein and the staff are all top notch.

The place is great! They have caring nurses, doctors and health-care workers. I feel that they may have too much to handle at the same time, but they show genuine care when I was there.

I am with Dr Marissa Fox and could not been happier.

Check-in and Check-out is also seamless. The reception is the best!!

Because of privacy, i cannot post any photos here. But i'd recomend this place to anyone who is in need of care

Love my doctor. HATE the incompetent administration. I had a cancer scare. Needed a scan referral and the referral department screwed up so bad my insurance had to assign me care assistant team to get me through all their screw ups. It still took two full months to get through what they messed up to get my scan. They never answer the phone, they will not call you back, and they will constantly code everything you need wrong. These people will get you killed and they dngaf. Next up, the billing department are just as stupid. They tried to bill me for something my insurance fully covers and were absolutely incapable of comprehending this fact. Yet again, my insurance had to fix that need up too. There's something extremely wrong with the management of this place.

I had a terrible time finding a good primary care doc through my insurance (check some reviews here and you'll see who NOT to go to). I saw APLA listed as a possible primary care facility but I was under the impression that they only saw patients who where HIV +. I had looked up Dr Gottleib online and really liked what I read on his website. He seemed like a real healer. I reached out to to him and he got right back to me personally. I've now been to APLA on Olympic 2x and had 2 phone appts with Dr. Gottlieb. I could not be more pleased. The facility is beautiful and spotless, the staff is kind and compassionate and they even validate for parking! Also I needed a referral for a new eye doc and the one they sent me to was top notch. I have also switched my dental to APLA dental on La Brea and same experience. In both facilities the wait time from check in to your name being called is 5 min or less. I could not be more happy with my switch to APLA for my health care needs. I wish I would have switched sooner. If you are like I was and think that they only treat Aids/HIV patients they treat EVERYONE. It's very inclusive. And they are great.

Dr. Gottlieb is great and Judy the nurse is great, but Tracie is absolutely incompetent. Deborah the manager is nice. It's a mix. Giving them one star to call their attention that Tracie makes that whole place worthy of closing. If that's APLA Health, then go elsewhere, but it's not fair to the doctors who are good. Still, it's the whole experience. The doctors can't do their job if the nurses are going to be incompetent.

Made an appointment in May for a full physical, when I arriveed they didn't allocate enough time so they only did bloodwork and said we will do a full physical during your next prep appointment in 3 months... Come August again I'm hit with the same scheduling problem only to also find out they used my 1 annual physical for May ( which was never preformed by the physician.

I now have another appointment scheduled for November under annual physical .. the problem is the billing apparently already used my 1 yearly physical code for May even through they only drew blood for a full blood panel work up. So not only did I not get my full physical in May, but I was then promised that I would do a full physical in my next visit in August, which was again not allocated enough time. Along side this, even if enough time was set for the appointment the second time… they already billed my insurance incorrectly, using that 1 yearly physical so I would have paid out of pocket for that physical unless I went through the process of fighting my insurance for an error they created.

Between this and past refferal department probms I've had prior... I'm just real frustrated at the whole ordeal.
