I have a 7 year old boy and since he was a baby he has suffered from horrible eczema flare ups and over the years the only help I have been offered has been steroids both topical and oral. The prolonged use of steroids had my child's skin very sensitive and damaged and instead of improving it was getting worse and spreading further throughout the body. This review is a long overdue and I needed to share my exceptional experience with Dr Cabrera. She and her staff are amazing and make you feel like she is your hometown doctor. A very family oriented and friendly office with staff who make you feel like you are part of her family. I had severe skin rashes for months and went to both a dermatologist and an allergist. They both said that I was coming in contact with something that was causing my severe rashes. Their focus was treating the condition instead of identifying the source of the skin rashes. After trying all of their remedies from medication, to changing my clothing to detergent, nothing worked. My skin rashes kept getting worse and expanding throughout my body as if telling me they were here to stay. I was desperate when I came to see Dr. Cabrera, in hopes that holistic medicine could help since western medicine doctors had failed me. She immediately performed various food sensitivity tests and other tests to identify the source of my skin disorder. Dr Cabrera was incredibly knowledgeable and I immediately felt at ease with her and efficient staff. Come to find out the tests revealed high food sensitivity to eggs, dairy, gluten, sugar, lettuce, corn, bananas and a few others. Who knew? I now had food sensitivity to all these items which I consumed throughout my childhood and adult life. I did not have any skin issues until now. Also, I was also diagnosed with a leaky gut making everything worse. She placed me on a protocal treatment plan along with eliminating these foods for the time being. Slowly, I started to see my skin rashes slowly dissappear and my skin and body started to heal. I learned so much about holistic medicine and it has been a journey. I am very grateful to Dr. Cabrera who gave me the holistic treatment to heal my condition. I came to the consultation with stage 3 B colon cancer, already with metastasis and my intestine lymph nodes compromised and a severe anemia.
