When first moving to Jacksonville in February 2021, I had the opportunity to visit an urgent care. Since I live closer to Durban Park, there’s a care spot in the plaza. Upon visiting this urgent care, I had the most horrible experience ever in an urgent care unfortunately I was new and didn’t know much about the area and I could’ve branched out to find other urgent cares. After visiting this particular urgent care, I haven’t gone back to use their facilities, even though they are the closest one to me. On March 10, I injured my finger late in the afternoon on Sunday. I wanted to go to an urgent care, but most of them are closed by this time. I was going to go to the ER and Baptist south. However, I decided to give care spot in Durban Park. Another chance it had been four years since visiting that urgent care clinic and hopes that they have changed their staff. I’m glad I did because the staff was so much better than my previous experience there. let me tell you my little story of my experience there from March 10 on until March 20: I was finally seen on Thursday for my second follow up visit to hopefully secure my final treatment with my finger. The staff was prompt upon my arrival and was very polite and attentive. John Arce, APRN, was able to put the finishing touches to my finger in hopes that the healing can start and it does what he hopes it does. Stephanie Dorsey, APRN, worked wonders with what she had in front of her with the angles at her disadvantage, which was not her fault. The procedure that she did post removal of the sutures, didn’t work out as she had hoped it would. But that was okay because John swooped in to finish the job. Great teamwork comes with passion and patience.

Scheduled an appointment online just to have to end up waiting in total about an hour after my appointment time to be seen when there was hardly anyone there. $85 copay just to be told it’s allergies I’ve dealt with my allergies for 15 years, and this is 100% not that. The nurse who brought me back was very nice, but overall a waste of time and money. Will never go back.

My daughter was seen here and prescribed antibiotics. Several days later we went out of town and forgot her antibiotics at home. The center was phenomenal in helping us by sending a new prescription to a pharmacy along our route out of town. Truly top notch customer service.

This place is the bottom of the barrel. The front desk lady wasn’t at her desk, and when she did surface took around twenty minutes to even call us up to check in. I made an appointment online for 2:15. We didn’t go back into the exam room until 2:50. Then we sat in the exam room until 3:58, when I left without even seeing a provider. Who was standing by the counter. I told her we have been in the room for over and hour, and she literally shrugged and said “ok”. Also, the people who enter healthcare for profit, they work at this CareSpot. They don’t care about helping people, period.

Went in with my 4 yo daughter who we suspected had pneumonia. The nurse Wendy was phenomenal with her. She explained everything to her and showed her everything she was going to do. She was so kind to us. Wendy said she isn’t normally in this location, but I was so glad she was there for us last night! Dr Park was also great. He was very calm and gentle, expressed his concerns about what was going on with my daughter and how she may need a higher level of care. Luckily she is doing much better! We don’t have insurance and paid $199. Well worth the trip and we felt like we got very good care here.

Only if I could give them a 0, I would. Unprofessional from the time you walk into the door. No need to schedule an appointment as they are quick to tell you that they are "just an urgent care". My appointment was scheduled for 2:45 and I waited in the lobby for 1 1/2 hours before being called. That is before they took 2 patients before me who came in after me. So finally I'm in the room and the nurse tells me that there's now 5 people ahead of me when there should only be 2. People come to urgent care spots instead of an ER because it's a cheaper copay. Just know I will never visit this facility again after today!!!!

Wow. Just wow. I came in with possible influenza and according to their tests I was flu negative, strep negative, covid negative. Which was strange because I had flu symptoms. All that aside, I must have asked them four times to send my breathing treatment to my pharmacy and they sent it to the wrong one. Ok no big deal, except I am having trouble breathing and I waited 4 hours for my script. When I called to double check they assured me it was sent my pharmacy. Well, my pharmacy had nothing and the wrong pharmacy texted me that it was ready there. So I called them again, and after being put on hold for literally 21 minutes, the girl blew me off. This place is absolutely not worth the money or time. Who ignores hot words like “difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, dizziness”? What kind of training is being put in place here? What a disaster

Don’t go here!!!.
Go to Avecina Medical - Hodges & JTB- that facility does respect you as a person and your time.
Scheduled an online appointment at Durbin location a day ahead / seen a hour after the appointment time. Place looked pretty slow to go / no greeting / no conversation / just sign and charge.
Extremely disappointed.
I hate to assume how busy they may of been - but there was this strong energy in the air you didn’t matter -
13 days sick - told to take over the counter medication ( which naturally all the over the counter medications had been already exhausted- that’s why I’m here )
Entire family was treated completely different at the Beach location / given medication that would help this illness.
I will not ever go back.
$180 with insurance
This office location needs guidance in care and respect of an individual/ especially an individual that is sick.
