They will not return phone calls or provide school excuses in a timely manner. I’ve called for weeks with very serious concerns in regards to my child and have still not received a returned call. Their billing department won’t call you back, nor the scheduling coordinator, or the therapist.

They have time to respond to Google reviews immediately to keep up appearances but have yet to return a single call over a period of weeks. Future sales are a priority, current(now former) clients are not.

When my family used them they were great however when I called to get an appointment set up the one location is jacksonville no longer accepts a certain insurance. If you are in business to help kids and teens accept it all or offer something to offset what some insurance companies don't pay.

Worst place!!!! They charge 115 dollars for a missed appointment even if it was an emergency situation. And they expect that payment to be instantly paid out of your account the day the appointment is missed. Refuse to allow you to set up payment arrangements or answer the phone. Then they will send you a text stating they know you are calling and they will just put you down as refusing to pay and send your bill to collections if it’s not paid within 30 days. There forms will tell you they may waive the no show fee after an appeal which takes 2 to 3 weeks. But they don’t waive the fee and they will try to immediately charge your card on file for it! And no matter what your circumstances are they aren’t going to waive any part of the fee. Run from this place!!!! No other doctors office treats patients this way!!! My son had a flat tire on the way to his appointment and I was on the phone with the office before his appointment would have even ended. My son was going simply because his father had just died in a car accident! This place should be shut down period!!!

Everyone is kind, helpful and very understanding. I want to help others to see that the counselors love their patients and wish for them to get the help they need. They care for them and are very understanding of situations and helping to cope with what you may be going through

My purpose for seeing a counselor (I'm not going to publicly say which one but I will be more than happy to give her name in an email) was to get tested for ADHD and autism as they had been concerns for me for awhile and she said she would test me but it took several weeks for her to even do the tests, which we had to bring up with her again ourselves. She told me I didn't qualify for autism because I have friends within the first visit which looking back was a red flag but I am a people pleaser and it was also my first time at a counselor so I was hesitant to stop after I had fought tooth and nail to get one to begin with. I explained to her my ADHD symptoms and she readily dismissed them as being anxiety because that was what her personal experience was, it wasn't based on any actual doctrine. She even gave me anxiety coping mechanisms that had the opposite of the desired effect. Essentially I said I struggled focusing in class and she would say I was anxious and should just daydream to feel better! Which led to MORE focus issues. The other technique was box breathing and she kept asking me if we had gone over other various techniques, told me we would do them next week, and proceeded to never actually teach me them. I finally decided to leave her a month or so ago because I felt like I had gotten what I needed. She never taught me anything new and pretty much just listened to me vent about my week, which I can do for free with friends. In October, I had an appointment to get actual testing for ADHD, which I tested positive for. I have combined type but due to my counselor's constant dismissal, I feel as if I'm some poser. The woman told me I was just faking it to have an excuse to get out of school work. That destroyed all trust I had built with her because I LOVE school and would never try to get out of it. I would recommend Garret Counseling for "easier" to fix issues, like anxiety or maybe depression and general mindset fixing because at some points she genuinely helped with those things but if you have other concerns PLEASE go to an office that specializes in them and get a second opinion because these people are going to try to keep you there for their benefit.

I cannot recommend Maddy enough. She's probably the most empathetic person I've ever met. Putting that with her friendly, bubbly personality and her ability to still tell you the blunt truth that you need to hear, well, she's simply the best.

She will never guide you wrong, so always follow her advice and you'll be so happy that you did.

If you can pick Maddy, DO pick Maddy.
