If there was a zero star, I would give that instead of one. Both my husband and I have been long-term patients of the practice that was bought out By this company. Since then the service has been absolutely horrible. Apparently they cannot see more than 16 sick visits in one day, which is ridiculous during season here they want to refer you to their after hours clinic Instead of seeing your own doctor. Also, we called on the weekend and we’re told to just come in on Monday even though my husband has type one diabetes and Covid I ended up calling telehealth through our insurance company and the doctor told me that since my husband has diabetes, he needed a special Medication, that he needs within two days of symptoms starting which would’ve been missed if we would have listened to To the doctor from Wellmed! Horrible experience would not recommend at all.

After releasing all their patients with barely any notice last year they won’t even fulfill their duties to refill scripts. Terrible service.

My appointment was nothing less than disappointing. I felt so discouraged, unheard, and was offered quick fixes for the issues I was trying to address. The PA actually said during my visit “well Google says this”. My jaw dropped to the floor. I kept trying to explain, I needed to figure out the bottom line, and I was gaslit and under minded. Completely unprofessional behavior. I left in tears.
Also, my medication that I was prescribed wasn’t sent over. I made THREE calls to get it fixed and was promised a call back TWICE for reassurance it was fixed
. I’m still waiting on that call AND my prescription. It’s been 3 weeks now.

This place should be shut down. If you want real medical and kind and compassionate care. Find elsewhere.

Been a patient here for almost 10 years. Doc, Jason, Stacy, and Dr. Jelinek have the biggest hearts, and are high quality providers.

Unfortunately the WellMed concept sucks, the new people are rude, condescending, and the new practitioners that are part of the team I am not impressed with at all.

Sad to see the last quality practice in Lee County degrade to this point!

Dr Haddad has excellent credentials and medically, I feel I am in good hands in that regard. If that were the only judgment to be made I would give him 5 stars. However, I have found his bedside manner to be a bit quixotic. Yes he is sometimes very personable,. He is also a no-nonsense, does not suffer fools lightly kind of person. However, if he is very busy I find him very abrupt and often not only unwilling to answer more than one or two questions, he sometimes gets offended by them. He reacts as if you are questioning his medical expertise, when really all you want is to be sure you understand the issues or discuss other options. Another thing I find highly annoying is that he expects you to come in for a visit just to get med refills - even for something I have been taking for 11 years with no problems. I understand from my pharmacist that a lot of docs in this area do that to increase their Medicare payments. I find that unconscionable. Be aware that apparently Dr Haddad cycles medical people through the office as part of their medical training. He never announced this to us as patients, but it became clear after while and from talks with staff that this is happening. I see that as a plus to help with the practitioner shortages we have in this area. I just wish he had informed his patients of that and that all staff would wear nametags that also indicate their position or function.
His staff is very professional and I never have to wait long at all.

The members of my family that went to Dr. Haddad quit him: my daughter, granddaughter, and grandson. I was the last hold out and lasted approximately a year longer. Each family member had their own reason(s) for leaving Dr. Haddad and they will have to speak for themselves. In my case, I completely lost confidence that he placed the needs of the patient above his own agenda (financial, scheduling, referrals). Also, he always seemed impatient and wanting to move to the next room and I felt rushed to state my concern(s). I will not recommend Dr. Haddad to anyone seeking a primary care physician.

I was a patient at dr Hadad’s office for approximately three years. During COVID-19 last fall (when everyone was told to stay home for non emergency visits) I canceled or changed some appointments as I am elderly with medical issues. I suddenly received a registered letter telling me they no longer wanted me as a patient because of this, even though I had a video meeting with dr Gelenick which they were paid for. Not exactly a caring environment. I guess I wasn’t sick enough for them to want to bother with. If you are looking for a primary care physician this is not the place to go

I hope anyone reading these reviews decides to form their own opinion of Dr. Haddad and not rely solely on MotorCitys negative remarks. Respectfully, everyone is entitled to their own opinions however I’m confident that if you do decide to see any of the fabulous doctors at Ft. Myers Internal Medicine you won’t regret that decision. I have been a patient of Dr. Haddads since 2012 and never once had a negative experience with him or his office staff. In fact, I consider myself fortunate to be his patient and am so grateful for his wisdom, compassion and his genuine concern for my well being! He’s on the ball, super easy to talk with and his exceptional clinical training puts him in a league of his own! I come from a family of physicians in Connecticut and have very high standards when choosing a physician. Honestly, I don’t trust anyone other than Dr. Haddad when it comes to my family’s healthcare! Furthermore, his PA Jason is wonderful and I love everyone on his clinical team! The girls up front are warm and welcoming, always professional and very respectful. So if you need a PCP, call his office and schedule an appointment with anyone in his group. They are all great physicians and you won’t be disappointed.
