I have been going to Dr Power since moving to Nocatee four years ago, and, while sometimes it can be hard to get an appointment, I have always felt cared for and attended to. She takes way more time with me than she probably has to give to me, and she is thorough and full of creative and holistic ways to tackle health issues! The staff has always been helpful (great phlebotomy!!) and courteous. I have seen Dr Samir Array and another NP on an emergency basis, and they were also so warm and attentive. Dr Array cared for me like I was his family, and we

The “small town family doctor” can feel like a thing of the past with these big name providers with multiple locations, but this staff and these providers do a wonderful job making my care feel personalized and my relationship with them meaningful. They do a a great job taking care of me while working within the parameters of the health care system we are all strapped down to! Thank you thank you!!

Title: Disrespectful Experience at UF Health Facility, Nocatee Ponte Vedra

I recently had an incredibly disrespectful and disheartening experience at the UF health facility in Nocatee Ponte Vedra. My wife's primary doctor, Lauren Powder, along with the front desk staff, notably Marta, exhibited a shocking lack of courtesy and empathy.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, namely heavy traffic caused by a severe storm, we called the UF call center to inform them that we would be slightly late for my wife's appointment as a courtesy. However, upon arriving at the doctor's office, we were met with outright rudeness from Marta, who callously informed us that the doctor would not be able to see my wife.

What makes this situation particularly egregious is that despite our punctuality in the past, the doctor has consistently been late for appointments, sometimes making us wait for up to an hour. Yet, when we requested a small amount of flexibility due to circumstances beyond our control, there was no consideration or understanding from the staff.

This lack of courtesy, respect, and empathy is utterly unacceptable in a healthcare setting. Patients should feel valued and cared for, not dismissed and disrespected. I strongly advise others to think twice before seeking care at this facility, where basic human decency seems to be in short supply.

No bed side manner, no internal processes to rank needs of patients and lack of prioritizing patient needs. Wife’s prescription had run out due to mixup in 90 day supply vs 30 day. Couldn’t get an appointment for a week. This medication is desperately needed on a daily basis and major withdrawals if not taken. Office stated it would take 48 hours and it has now been 5 days. We called more than 5 times and tried to get at least coverage for the medication until the visit. It is unbelievable that we did not receive a call back even after putting in an urgent message with the call center. This is another major issue with this office is the calls do not go to the office. They are managed offsite. The people at the call center tried to get in touch but were not able multiple times. This is a very poorly run health care facility and needs change and oversight soon.

They’ve gone COMPLETELY downhill since becoming UF Health. They won’t return your calls, and getting someone right away is less than a 10% chance. If you’re patient enough to listen to their 3+ minute long answering machine, forget leaving a voicemail - they most likely won’t return the call. It’s not just concerning but disrespectful. And I’ve left maybe 2 voicemails in 2 months. If you do talk to someone, they’ll tell you to expect calls from people you’ll never hear from. WHAT. HAPPENED.?

DO NOT GO TO THE PRIMARY DOCTORS HERE AT THE UF NOCATEE FACILITY!!!!! PRIMARILY DR LAUREN POWER!
My prescription bottle (I have taken this medication for 28 years now) said 3 refills, but when I tried to get another refill they said I need to make an appointment, and the soonest was over a week out. This was all fine, except they wouldn’t fill ONE WEEK of medication to tie me over. This has NEVER happened to me before in the last 28 years. Again, I have taken this medication since I was 13.
We requested day after day on MyChart AND called multiple times to NO avail. They told us they would call it in within 48 hours. LIES. It has been 5 days & now they are closed and I still don’t have medication. Without this medication, I have experienced multiple days of major withdrawals including nonstop crying, headaches, anger, fatigue, vertigo, heart palpitations, trouble breathing & major depression. But according to the doctors here at UF, that is totally fine. Why would they care? It’s not their life. They still get a paycheck.
They just closed for the weekend without calling anything in to the pharmacy, which means MY ONLY OPTION IS TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM (urgent care told me they cannot prescribe this medication).
I’m not sure where these doctors got their medical degree, but a bedside manner was clearly not required. Neither was knowledge on medication or ramifications of being without certain medications or empathy for patients.
THIS FACILITY/ DR. POWER DOES NOT CARE IN THE LEAST ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS’ WELLBEING OR IF THEY HAVE MEDICATION. I THOUGHT DR POWER LISTENED BUT NOW I KNOW SHE IS ONLY IN THIS PROFESSION FOR THE MONEY.
I will be looking for a new doctor ASAP.

Words can’t even describe the sense of relief and comfort our family has after our first visit with Dr. Array today. We recently relocated from Atlanta to Jacksonville this year, and we were beyond sad to leave our pediatric practice in GA. However, the staff at UF Family Pediatrics immediately made us feel incredibly welcomed, and demonstrated kindness and compassion from the moment we stepped in the door. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Array. She listened to every word and concern I had which is RARE to find these days. She was thorough and spent two full hours with my two children during our first visit. I will never look beyond Dr. Array for another pediatrician. Highly recommend her and the entire staff!

Had a video call with one of the doctors today (1/20/2023) for antibiotics for strep throat, but they didn't call it in to the pharmacy. Now their office is closed and can't get anyone on their after hours line to help with THEIR screw up. So now the only options are wait until Monday to call back and demand the medication or go to a walk in clinic after already having gone through all this.

Adding on to this the day after my original review because they ALSO forgot to send the Dr note for the days of work missed while dealing with strep. Absolutely unprofessional and borderline negligent.

Dr. Brett Murray is my children’s pediatrician. Hands down the best pediatrician I have had for my kids! He goes above and beyond to offer the best care. If you guys are looking for a pediatrician Dr. Brett Murray is the one! Now I wish my Primary Dr worked the same way, but unfortunately she does not and she also works in the same office. 🙃
