Dr. Thomasson is a very thorough physician. He explains procedures very well, and understandable. I like the fact he gave me a folder which included all my surgery notes, MRI photo and surgical photos. I highly recommend him, along with his friendly, helpful staff.

Everyone very nice but the wait was 30 minutes this time before I even got into the room. . Usually I get in and out pretty quickly and this was the time I needed to do so and it didn’t work out. I do love Dr. Thomasson and his staff though. Would highly recommend them.

Beware! I felt something was off when they informed me I’d need separate appointments to talk about my knees, but made the appointments anyway. Appts were assigned for each knee, at the first appointment I had to inform Dr Thomasson that he had the wrong x-ray up and was talking about the wrong knee. Red flag #1.

At my next appointment (for the other knee) I was told I’d need a TKR - a shock for a 43yr old. My PT docs were equally shocked. Red flag #2.

The 3rd appointment was for the initial knee and told I need a diagnostic scope surgery. I went ahead and scheduled, but sought a second opinion from a highly recommended surgeon regarding both knees. At that appointment, the surgeon disagreed with everything Dr Thomasson had said (and only needed 1 appointment to talk about both knees)! I immediately left that appointment and called to cancel the scope surgery (that was 8 days out) & was told I would have to pay a $250 cancellation fee! The scheduler said it was part of what I signed with my new patient paperwork. After receiving a copy of the paperwork, the assertion was completely false! Their financial policy says you have to cancel more than 24hrs ahead of time or you will be assessed a $25 fee. It mentions fees vary based on types of tests - but only states a 24hr cancellation policy. The office proceeded to send me a $250 “no show” invoice dated 11/7 for a scope scheduled 11/15 - a bogus charge for an unnecessary surgery!

Fast forward just over a month later, and I’m no longer in pain after following the advice of my second opinion. It’s clear this office is out for money - extra visits, unneeded surgeries, and ludicrous fees for cancellation. Beware!
