went to my PCP for my 6 month check up and I had an elevated PSA. Fortunately I was referred to Dr. Nabeel Hamoui and Shoreline Urology.
I then had a biopsy in the office which took only about 10 minutes total.
Two weeks later Dr. Hamoui gave me my diagnosis. He was great. I already have a negative attitude, but he tried to reassure me that I would be okay.
I then had a full body scan which showed that it was isolated in the prostate.
Dr. Hamoui suggested that I get surgery. I didn't want to try chemo or radiation, so I decided to have surgery.
I had to wait six weeks for the surgery which wasn't great, but I made it to the hospital.
Some of my other doctors that I see knew Dr. Hamoui. They told me that his father and his brother were also urologists. Based on that and my conversations with Dr. Hamoui and his ARNPs, I knew that I was in good hands.
I wasn't worried about the surgery as much as waking up afterwards, having pain, and a catheter for 12 days. In recovery they took great care of me and the pain. The pain was bad for about 3 days after the surgery and the catheter wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be during the six week wait (ooff!!! That's on me).
A home nursing company sent nurses to see me for a few weeks afterward.
I just received blood work results and it appears that I am clear for now.

All in all, my experience with everyone involved was great. My only suggestion would be to buy some leak guards prior to having the catheter removed. I have been doing the Kegel exercises and my leakage has been reduced significantly. Additionally, I was prescribed a medication which helps reduce my number of bathroom trips.

Update: Doc is fantastic! Walked into the lobby at 3:30 with 7 people waiting. My appt. is at 3:45. Told by a less than courteous employee that it would be only a 30 minute wait. Let’s see how that goes. One hour later—finally called back. Let’s see how long before the doc arrives.

Dr Hamoui is great. Went through a complicated surgery with grace and a great bedside manner. I was admitted to the hospital for a different event and he made a point of stopping into my room just to say hi. Who does that anymore? I highly recommend him.

Honestly I'm not the type to post reviews. But I was so impressed by the awesome Doctor and staff at Shoreline Uro Care, I want others to know about them. A couple of months ago I found out (the hard way) I had kidney stones, the pain was so bad I ended up in the emergency room, where they diagnosed me with kidney stones and it was too big to passed and required surgery. I was nervous and worried about the procedure. I felt much better after my consultation with Dr. Nabeel Hamoui, he took the time to answer my questions, briefed me on what to expect and assured me that things will be fine. The excellent staff coordinated with the onsite outpatient surgery center a suitable date for the surgery. The surgery center staff were also great. The Doctor arrived on-time, saw me before the procedure and briefed me on the surgery and again answered my questions. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Reheem, was also friendly. They put me under full general anesthesia, when I woke up, I felt find, but a bit drowsy. My friend drove me home 3 hours after the procedure. The doctor and surgery, called to check on me everyday for the following three days. I went back to see Dr. Hamoui, three days after my appointment to remove the stent, without any anesthesia (instead a topical numbing gel) Dr. Hamoui carefully and gently removed the stent. These procedures can be awkward or uncomfortable, but Dr. Hamoui is such a skilled professional he explained every step, put me at easy and was very gentle. All of this contributed to a positive experience and I didn't have any pain after the surgery or during the stent removal. Thank you so much to Dr. Nabeel and his staff for taking care of me.

Dr Nabeel is far and above the best doctor I’ve ever come across! And I’ve lived some years! He goes WAY above and beyond for his patients. He is friendly, takes time w you, I can’t say enough about how great he is! I would recommend him to anyone who needs this type of specialist! Thank you to Dr Nabeel and his fabulous staff!!!

In November, the office told my wife she needed to pay $230 copay. At the second they said our Copay was $26.
After 2 visits, we get the EOB from BCBS, and our insurance provider says our portion is $80.
Been trying to get our money reimbursed fever since, it has been months.
Now it's April, and they are telling me that we are not due the last $10 they owe us due to a credit card processing fee.

WARNING, only pay your insurance Copay, and be prepared to get a run around when trying to get your $ back
