Dr. Allman is fine as far as a Dr. goes. She can accurately prescribe what you need if you're sick. My main complaint, and it's pretty huge, is her office staff. Getting a referral sent took many weeks and many follow up calls. Wait time is very long for appointments. They have completely messed up my appointment schedule twice now. I had my printed paper with the stated date and time of my appointment, and they still couldn't find me on the schedule when I arrived. My most recent appointment (and what will be my last with her office) I arrived early only to find a note taped on the door letting me know the office had moved across town. I had received no notice by phone or mail, her website still shows the old address. I trekked to her new office, arriving just barely on time, spent 45 minutes in the waiting room and 20+ in the exam room before I was seen. I don't have that kind of time to waste in a day. Once in the appointment she wasn't able to take care of everything since her office staff had not contacted me about the blood work needed prior to the appointment. Being a good doctor is not enough. Her staff can't get it together, so it's just not worth the hassle anymore.

I had an appointment today at 2:00 pm of course I understand late policies and everything. Allmans late policy is 10 minutes as we all know EVERY doctor has there late policies and I respect that but I arrived literally at 2:11 pm and had to park got out the car walked up the stairs got in there at 2:12 pm and the receptionist told me to hold on so the time was 2:13 pm . I was told I wouldn’t be seen so I asked if they could see if she would see me. They asked and I was told I would have to reschedule and pay the no show fee my next appointment. I will not . I forgot to mention I had the decency to call before hand to let them know I would be late. I’ve never had a doctor turn me away for care . I could see if I was extremely late but 2 minutes Mind you there was one person there filling out paperwork and also mind that when we go to appointments we’re waiting 10-15 after we arrive to get called back . That was horrible service if you ask me

Would get zero stars if I could. I finally switched from this doctor after missing several appointments because the proper referral paper wasn’t sent, scheduling appointments while I was working without telling me, telling me 10 minutes before my physical and bloodwork that I can’t get bloodwork done at all and needed to reschedule the appointment itself as well. Dr. Allman herself seemed oblivious to their negligence, asking me why I never saw the pulmonologist that she recommended I see two years prior that they never referred me to. Showed up to a back appointment with a six week waiting period and was turned away because her staff refused to send the second referral. Had a surgery done under a different doctor’s name because they wouldn’t send the referral. Paid $300 at American Family Care because they wouldn’t send the referral. Paid $250 for a psychiatrist I’d been seeing for 2 years because they refused to send the referral. I’ve never seen such negligence and such rude, entitled office workers. I tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague.

Hi everyone, my experience with Dr Allman has been great. She has provided me with the best care I've had since my previous Doctor had closed his practice. I went through a few doctor's before I started seeing Doctor Allman. The office staff has always been good to me. Every now and then a problem occurred but was always handled with respect.

Had appointment and tests done, then had to pay at follow up appointment $178 a week later or they wouldn't see me. Never had to do that when my BCBS insurance hasn't even had time to pay Apparently they do this often and people have issues getting their $ refunded. I won't go back. Office staff at check out is rude and not knowledgable about pending insurance.
Also Dr. Allman had the nurse do an EKG. Nurse came back in and said there was an abnormality and I was being referred to a cardiologist. Dr never dame back in to explain so I was left worrying for weeks. Poor bedside manner.

I have never left a review for a Dr. before - but my experience here with fiancé just can't be overlooked. Briefly: HORRIBLE service from her staff, and Dr. Allman is just kind of aloof and seems to be mostly just a referral doctor. She didn't actually do anything but review the notes and refer us to specialists.
Could have gone to Urgent Care for that....
Detailed: Fiancé has been a patient of Dr. Allman's for over 10 years. However, for the last 3 months we have tried to make an appointment for blood pressure and bleeding issues. Yet her staff continued to tell us that we had to come up to the office to get new paperwork, take it home, fill it out, then bring it back... at which point THEY would call us to make an appointment?
Well - suddenly after four attempts in 3 months to get in to see the doctor, each foiled by some layer of bureaucracy, I called after we ended up in the EMERGENCY ROOM for a follow up and all the paperwork and other hurdles to get in weren't necessary...
Wait, what So we need to fill out paperwork and do a dance with one foot in and one foot out if we're coming in for a sick visit, but if it's a hospital follow up you can literally get me in the next day and we just walk in with no prior steps?
What gives guys? Either you have a process or you don't - and why do I have to come up 3 different times to get blood work?
Copay milking much?

I like Dr Allman as a doctor and feel she is very thorough. I get very frustrated with waiting an hour and twenty minutes when I’m told at the desk she had no patients before me. When her person comes in to take my blood pressure and is very cold in demenear, doesn’t introduce herself, and when asked if I have anything to address with the doctor and i share this then I’m told my appointment will be changed from a check up to a sick visit to address this. Doctors are human beings with a degree, I’m a human being and would prefer to be treated like one.

Dr Allman is a good doctor. Unfortunately the previous comments about her staff is true. I tried to ignore the comments but the staff is horrible. Had 11:00 Appt. Arrived before 11. By 12, no one informed me of the delay. When I inquired the staff was rude. They do not want you to ask questions. I feel so sad for Dr Allman because she is a good doctor who is not aware of the ignorance of her staff. If Dr. Allman was not a good doctor, I would go somewhere else. I had an appointment last week with a specialist, the staff member was considerate enough to inform me there would be a “ 15 min” delay. How refreshing!
