Typically, people are polite, professional and helpful. I have not had any issues with the imaging staff and everyone has been great.
My problems are in scheduling and checking in. My doctor, who is in the Advent Health system, sends imaging requests and I add it to my calendar. Sometimes I get a call that they are unable to verify my insurance and could I reschedule, but not with the person calling, instead I'm to call the main number to reschedule. They then ask why I'm rescheduling.
Turns out, the reason they can't verify my insurance is because they don't want to wait on hold. Really, they told me they tried several times but the wait time on hold was too long so they kept hanging up. Anyway, I reschedule for later in the week, don't get anymore calls, so assume everything is a go.
I get to my appointment to check in and run into my biggest issue with the admins staff; "... please fill out this form." I mention nothing has changed and I'm told it is the rules, everyone has to complete the form every time. I'm sure all your patients with arthritis in their hands appreciate duplicating this information every time, I sure don't.
So I once again complete the form, then ask if insurance has been verified. A short walk down the hall lets the receptionist confirm I'm good to go, so she asks for my credit card to bill co-pay. Right as she hands me the slip to sign, she gets a call that I'm not verified and the person doing the verification is once again on hold. So now I go sit in the waiting room while they are on hold, because they couldn't do that before I arrived, and this time they didn't even call me to reschedule.
Nice people, but poor customer service. I get the impression their time is more valuable than mine.
