I went to the ER from work after being told to do so by my doctor. I was having horrible pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Recently, I had an IUD placed so there was some worry of an ectopic pregnancy. My father met me there so I would not be alone as my boyfriend was working. We sat there quietly talking, but my head was pounding. I asked for some Tylenol. The nurse came back with Haldol and Benadryl. I worked in hospitals and my boyfriend is a doctor so I have some medical knowledge. Enough to know that Haldol is an antipsychotic that was regularly given to extremely unruly patients. I thought it was weird but decided he had a medical degree and I didn’t so I wouldn’t argue. This was a mistake. The pain got worse despite the heavy sedative keeping me unconscious which I was told my pain couldn’t be that bad because I was sleepy… I was then misdiagnosed by the ER doctor. Turns out my labs didn’t show that at all. So either he didn’t wait for my labs before releasing me or he didn’t bother to read them. I read them with my primary care doctor and learned he did absolutely everything wrong. Oh and worse, I’m allergic to Haldol. So I was in pain and bed ridden with shakes for three days for a medication I should have never been given in the first place. Now, I’m left with a big bill and the knowledge to never let this facility touch me again.

I don’t know about this hospital. My boyfriend went cause he got some wood in his foot & he got it out & I cleaned it at home cause it was about & half inch in but a couple of days later the pain & his foot was swollen. They did a xray & sent him home with antibiotic just in case there was an infection. His foot was red he is latin & dark skin so to see red that’s a sign of infection & I’m not a nurse. I know cause I work with med mal lawyers & seen a lot & deal with a lot of docs. Well they said no infection but sent him with it like I said just in case. Him being a Marine & had infections before he had a feeling it was infected. Well he got home 2 days later he was in pain & he can handle pain he had brain surgery before, knee etc. So he went back to the hospital & they admitted him asap & had to get IV & given antibiotics thru the IV he was kept so far 3 days. They did a cat-scan & no foreign objects. All over a piece of wood nothing huge.

Very attentive staff, especially my nurse, Brittany. She made me feel so comfortable and made sure I had everything I needed. The DR had great bedside manner and all the techs I encountered were extremely nice. I’ve been to this ER a couple times and this was the best visit yet. I was overwhelmed with emotion trying to explain why I was there and the entire staff from check in to check out were very nice and understanding. <3

Came into the hospital because the past 3 days I've been puking, feeling heavy on my chest, hard breathing. Today my body started getting numb from my feet to my hand spreading everywhere. Pain in my stomach. I come into ER and walked up and down saying hello out loud not yelling. Checked side door to registration it was locked. No one. Not a single worker present in the ER. I sat at the first desk and still no one came. I had to yell for someone to even notice I'm there. About 10 workers can come out together but can't keep a single person at the entrance to ER. Staff comes out treating me like I'm the issue when they aren't posted where they should be. I didn't just come in screaming I came in looked for someone and called out hello a few times before I started yelling. Then to have staff treat me poorly because no one was present is wrong. 1 staff member says they are understaffed (that's not my issue nor the issue of any patient and shouldn't be used ever as an excuse that problem to deal with that's the hospitals) another staff member says they aren't understaffed it's just something was going on...I didn't think registration workers typically respond to emergencies but all staffSo then I'm being lied to by one of the staff members? Is it common for hospital employees to lie to their patients? Should still have a staff member at ER even if it's just an officer or someone to greet it should NEVER empty. No one should ever have to yell to get attention or help in the ER.

Don’t go here very bad service This was the second very bad experience I had in this ER the first time I developed a giant bruise on my wast it was about 10 by 24 inches wide I was told by a nurse after telling the doctor the concerns and having a mri there were no problems and was being discharged I was never told the cause other than possibly caused by caugh. Now the really bad one I’m 78 I fell of a ladder at about 7 ft high I went to the ER the next day because of heavy badly sprained ankle type pain after an mri I never saw the doctor again was told by the nurse no broken bones or serious injuries I had asker for something to take care of the serious ankle type pain and told take Tylenol a caring doctor would have prescribed something I did do some walking which helped some but it was painful. WORST HOSPITAL I EVER BEEN TO I would like peace to know that this review was NOT about TGH but brevea the had just taken over brevets hospitals and the reviews were immediately checked to TGH

My ten year old daughter presented with severe chest pain and shortness of breath. We sat in the lobby for an hour before she was taken to triage and then back. I was extremely scared for my daughter and were cast to the side like it was a regular sick visit. Once we got in the back my daughter was freezing and I asked multiple times for a blanket of which was never brought to her. My daughter even pressed the nurse button on her remote to ask and still never got a blanket. It took an X-ray tech person to go get my daughter a blanket. We were pretty much ignored the whole time. It didn’t seem like anyone genuinely cared about my daughter. Bottom line the process should have been expedited due to the seriousness of my daughter symptoms. Nobody fully evaluated her as far as checking everything …ears, throat and everything else. They just did the bare minimum and didn’t ask me investigative questions about what was going on. Nobody was friendly and I felt like because we’re people of color we were completely disregarded and ignored. I will NEVER refer anyone to this location and since I visited everyone has told me of their horrible experience here. So I can say this ER has lived up to the terrible things I heard from other people on top of my terrible experience. Your staff needs to be trained on providing good customer service and showing care and compassion to patients regardless of race.

I Came to the hospital with my 9 month old sick baby. They got us in right away and into a room. My nurse was Brittany H. THIS GIRL WAS AMAZING! My infant was crying and crying she took time to help me and dad out walked up and down the halls playing lullabies and got my infant to sleep after 3 hours of fighting. She was consistent with us and came in frequently to check up on us. Her patience was everything. Such a sweetheart. Thank you Brittany H. for making my long night feel so much better. Bravera should be happy to have you as an ER nurse. - Mariah ❤️

Coming across a genuine soul, that loves people and truly cares about their job is rare. (Specially in hospitals) Savanna, from the emergency department was a absolute blessing, the way she cares for my child.. she deserves good things. TGH! You have a good one, that many could learn from.
