My visit on Saturday evening was surprisingly a very good one. I say this because in the past I've had to wait for hours on end in the waiting room however I understand that when it's busy there's really nothing that can be done about that. This time it wasn't busy in the waiting room and I was extremely grateful for that. The person that signed me in was helpful especially bcus I was in so much pain. The nurse in the pre-admit area was great. Understanding helpful & very nice which I was pleasantly surprised. Past visits not so much. Once I got in the back the nurse was very helpful it was very hard for me to get in & out of wheelchair & also hard to get up on the bed so she was very accommodating and moved me to a room with a reclining chair which was more comfortable for me. DR. RAVEDE Was Fantastic. He was very professional he listened to everything that I was saying instead of him cutting me off. He checked my injuries made sure to order all the necessary x-rays I believe that were needed. When results came back he clearly explained them to me and what needed to be done gave me the necessary medication & may I say was very friendly. So Thank you Dr. Ravede for that alone. Unfortunately I've had bad experiences with rude & uncaring doctors so it's very appreciated.

The entire staff in the ER were excellent. From the security guard who helped me up on multiple occasions from my chair. The triage nurse was excellent. The physician assistant was excellent with her explanation and care of my issues. X-ray tech was also kind and courteous.

After sitting in a room for over an hour while bleeding from a wound caused during surgery at another Advent Health facility two days prior, the first person to come in to see me was from the business office looking to collect $600. The fact that I was even in the ER due to an Advent Health mistake, really made me feel like an ATM machine for Advent. I will think long and hard before going to Advent for my future healthcare needs.

The staff at this hospital are the best. Everyone goes to the extent to help you and make you comfortable. The Dr explained everything clearly to understand. Took care of the problem. Ct technicians were wonderful.

My dad had a health scare and needed to get some tests and see a specialist. I understand that emergency rooms are unpredictable, but he had to stay overnight when it shouldn’t have been necessary. Like all modern, large hospitals, AdventHealth is profit-driven at the expense of its patients.

My husband was brought there by ambulance in the midst of a heart attack. We could not have been more grateful to God for the staff that took care of him. They let me go back while they were getting him prepared for the cath procedure and they could not have treated my husband with more kindness and dignity and professionalism. When we were in the waiting room, Ron kept coming out to us and explaining exactly what was going on and what was going to happen next. Dr. Bhavsar has an excellent manner and between his professional and personal skills we were able to walk through something that was quite traumatic. On the ICU floor, Kaitlyn was extremely professional and compassionate, answering our questions over and over again since we really were so dumbstruck. Our entire experience at AdventHealth DeLand was beyond our expectations and we cannot thank the staff enough. God was merciful to give us such caring, qualified people in our time of need.

ER is great! If you get admitted, it’s terrible! Staff told my Dad they were too busy to get his vital signs done so he could eat breakfast and the an hour later tried giving him his cold breakfast. Kept saying he had ICU Delirium, later found out he had a stroke, then sent him home when he couldn’t walk, which is the same reason we brought him in. They said sorry! lol We ended up having him go to Alliance, where he had a Massive stroke. They were a lot better people when it was just DeLand Hospital. They are now just another industrial mill that pushes people through.

My visit to the emergency room what's a good one all the employees doctors and nurses were considerate making sure you were comfortable. Doctor explained everything when I got to see him waited asked if I had any questions. I felt very comfortable I'm glad I went to the emergency room
