I have had the pleasure of having Dr De La Pena as my pain management doctor in the hospital after numerous spine surgeries, and then for follow up care in office. Unfortunately, I am now covered through Medicare, and she does now accept my Medicare Advantage Plan, (Avmed). I would change plans just to be able to be treated by Dr De La Pena, but all my other doctors accept my plan. If you are fortunate enough to have an insurance plan that her office accepts, I highly recommend you make an appointment. You’ll be thankful you did.
