We have been seeing Dr. Ruttig for a couple years. Recently, cataract surgery in their new surgery center. Everything was perfect. The facility is outstanding. The people from receptionist to surgical nurses were friendly, helpful, professional, and supportive. Dr. Ruttig is exceptionally skilled and explains everything clearly. A great experience. The place to go for all ophthalmology needs.

DO NOT GO HERE if you have TRICARE. They will bill it as a medical bill instead of an annual checkup. I have to pay $163 even though Tricare would cover annual eye doctor every year. I asked the receptionist if they do an annual checkup and accept TRICARE, and she said YES. They ripped me off, now they say they're surgical and I should have gone to an optometrist. Usually, other places are honest and tell you they won't treat you because they're surgical and you need a referral to those places, and that they don't do an annual check. Additionally, my appointment was an hour after I arrived, and the assistant didn't give me the drops properly and didn't give my pupils time to dilate, making the exam uncomfortable.

My first encounter with Dr Ruttig was treatment for milkweed sap in my eye. Excellent care. I recently had cataract surgery and extremely pleased with the results. He is an excellent Dr.
His office runs so smoothly. Everyone there is so professional, friendly, polite and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this physician and his staff.

Had cataract surgery with both eyes done in one week. Never do this. Wait at least a month to see what develops. A condition that supposedly should have been caught before the surgery wasn’t caught. Some staff was rude when I brought up my issue of not being able to see. Wish someone else had done the surgery.

This place has saved me two times now with a small piece of metal in my eye once a couple years ago and once today. The people here are great and get you in quick and good at their job doctor is awesome!! The only place I will go to. I can’t thank y’all enough. Although this hurts right now, lol but I know it will heal properly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ruttig's since he began practicing in Florida. I have unique eye concerns and have 100% confidence in the quality of his care. He is kind, knowledgeable and takes time with each of his patients. I love going to a small, private practice where each patient is valued. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Although I currently live in another state, I continue to schedule appointments with Dr. Ruttig while visiting the panhandle.

Great doctor. He fit me in the schedule in an emergency situation. Performed tests immediately and performed a procedure almost immediately. Great bedside manor, very professional and his team even cared for my puppy during the procedure: I didn’t have time to take him home. The staff had great attitudes and you could tell they loved working for the doc. Best of all, you get all of this, and he is underpricing his services. I was expecting to pay 5 times more for the the type of professional service and the technical expertise he supplied. Another Dr. looked at my eye and said, “No Way” and referred me to Eye-MD. Great call.
