The happiest people I have ever met work at AdventHealth DeLand. The rooms were clean, The nurses were helpful, the Dr.s were professional, Smiled and laughed which help raise the mood. The house keepers, food servers, techs, nurses all introduced themselves with their name and what they were going to do. All asked what they could do to make my stay better. This is a complete turnaround from a couple of years ago. The only problem is the supper short toilets in the patient rooms.

I needed to have two MRI’s done, one was scheduled and one wasn’t. So I asked if I could have both done that day. The tech was very nice said that she could do that but she would have change things around after the first one. So that’s what she did and I didn’t have to schedule the other one and save me a trip back to the hospital. She was very nice to do that and I appreciate it very much .

I was very pleased with the way the medical team performed. This was my first visit and I will definitely keep coming back. My experience with Dr Hannah Coleman Anderson was very welcoming and I felt very comfortable. The lab for my blood work was also kind and professional. Jack got great service, but didn't like having to wait in the hallway. It was cold, very nosey and uncomfortable. Finally they put him in an emergency room. While he was there it was chaotic. So they finally put him in a reg. Room. The hospital needs to expanded. There are not enough rooms! We are so overpopulated now the hospital is not big enough to accommodate all the people. The city is

growing and the hospital is not. Even though Jack was ill he was ready to check out because of the situation. Once he was on the 4th floor he had great help.

The team at Advent Health DeLand Radiation Oncology are wonderful. Everyone shows you respect and compassion. Dr. Lopez is knowledgable and takes time with you. He explains things easily and fully. My partner comes to every appointment and they treat him equally wonderfully. Nurse Abby is always on top of things and is proactive. My patient advocate Jo is a lifesaver and a very valuable team member. And the radiation techs are now like family. They truly care and know their stuff. The entire team has given me great care along with tips and tricks to deal with the side effects. I feel very comfortable recommending this as a great health care option when fighting cancer that calls for radiation.

Had an appointment for an ultrasound. I showed up about 15 minutes early, and was almost immediately escorted to the procedure room. The very pleasant technician explained what she was going to do and directed me into the correct position. Of note, she had warmed the lubricant she uses on the sensing wand and it felt more like a massage than a medical procedure. Test was completed very quickly and I was on my way. The test results showed up in my patient portal a few hours later. All in all, an overall excellent visit.
