They will not care about you. If you are sick they will call you two weeks after and tell you that you are fine. Horrible front desk service. The people at the front desk think they are professional health care providers but they are not. Do not listen to them for your healths sake. Dr Shute said a nice guy when you are in front of him. He said he was from Canada and that the American system is broken. I know now that he was not talking about me finding a better way but would rather use that as a way to sale. But I cannot blame a capitalist.
Just be careful. I know there are only a few hospitals down here. At Baptist you will have to do all of the nurse work. You will have to make the calls between nurses who are barely qualified to check people out at Walgreens. I am sure they treat the easy patients great. If you have an actual problem please do not there… for your sake.

Janie Fleming lectured me on women's rights. I was appalled since I was a teen in 1973 and marched for our rights. She wasn't even born at the time. It's sad she cared me about the unborn than the women bleeding out in ER parking lots.

My doc, Dr. Foust is the shit. Listens when I am telling him about my problems and the changes between my appointments. After being ping pong'd with pain management he helped make me feel human again.

The lack of compassion and phone etiquette when trying to make an appointment for my mother with Dementia is infuriating. There is zero customer service here. I will be finding another provider for my mother as this medical center clearly does not care about their patients.

The doctors themselves seem to be just fine. The staff running the office however are a different story. It took a week for my pharmacy to get a refill authorization and that was with multiple faxes and phone calls from the pharmacy and calls from myself. The pharmacy finally did an emergency refill for me. They say they are a walk in clinic but they mean you can walk in for the appointment you have booked. The wait time for an appointment isn't too horrible. The laboratory is great. But while the lab is ten steps away from the doctors office, the doctors staff can't seem to manage to get the lab orders over to them. Three times in past few months I came in for recheck labs and the lab never had received the order which the doctor told me at my appointment he was submitting it right then and there for my recheck prior to next appointment. I know it's not the lab losing it because outside doctors have submitted lab requests for me to this lab and they manage to get the orders just fine. It comes down to simply the staff running the office are the problem. I think the doctors are just fine. But I am looking for a more competent location at this point since lab work and medical records are a mess. Oh did I mention I first booked my first visit to have an annual and establish care, but when I showed up they said I didn't have an appointment for an annual but rather a recheck appointment so that's all they had time for. But I didn't have anything to recheck.

Total incompetence is the main subject of this review. I was a patient there for 9 months. If the staff says they will submit something to your insurance or they will make a call for you or they will check with the doctor for you and call you back, don't believe it. You will have to repeatedly call to get them to do their job every time. And Dr. Blanchard has zero bedside manner. If it wasn't for his assistant I'd have never stayed as long as I did. She is his sole saving grace. He's difficult, doesn't answer questions, can be downright rude and allegedly has a new policy that he won't even refill long standing meds without seeing you (which usually means every 6 to 9 months). Walgreens contacted his office five days in a row to refill and he never replied to them. When I finally called I was told his new policy. When I asked why I never received a call after five requests from Walgreens his staff said he saw the requests but never told them to call me. I have never had a doctor fight with me so much over prescriptions that are just basic (think birth control and the like). He also boasted to me about all his knowledge on several occasions and proceeded to scare me that I had illnesses I didn't have and then test for them just to find out I'm perfectly healthy and then denied he thought I had them in the first place. Or when I asked him to explain the results of a CT scan (asked 4 different ways) and left the appointment without a single interpretation of the radiologist's report but told I needed to see a surgeon. I literally had no idea why I needed to see a surgeon. Lastly, how about when I was told I could be seen there for serious migraines on an urgent care basis and the one time I called and asked for help I was told (exact words) there was no one there that could help me and I should just go to the ER. So definitely avoid this doctor and this office at all costs. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

I've been to Dr. Blanchard a couple times for past health issues and have received good enough care to come back. This time around, I had scheduled an appointment at 10:45 AM and came to my appointment ahead of time to be told that my appointment was actually scheduled at 7:50 AM. I would have never scheduled an appointment that early unless it was a last resort and I had confirmed the appointment time 3 times with the lady on the phone the day before. They said that their computers have had issues and that may be why, but they couldn't see me then. I then asked to be treated like a walk-in and be seen within the hour, but they said I couldn't be seen until after 2 if I was treated as a walk-in or I could come back at 3:15 for a another scheduled appointment. Reluctant, I came back at 3 for my 3:15 appointment, and had to wait an hour before I was seen. Whenever I did get to see the doctor, Dr. Blanchard was in their maybe 2 mins and rushed me and did not give me adequate care or attention that i deserved. He did not let me fully explain the problem that I was having or the events around it, but simply told me he had me medication already sent and sent me on my way. I was very rushed and it was very rude. I deff will not be going back to them again, even for my follow up appointment that is scheduled. They seriously need to take the time to take care of their patients and give them their full attention whenever they are there, and they need to fix their computer system. I heard another patient come in as well after to and complain about it going to be an hour wait, even when she had an appointment earlier today to be seen, but they couldn't find it so she rescheduled as well. She was going to walk, but they changed the time to 30 mins. They need some serious retraining and help.

Absolute worst experience!! I broke my hand back in August 2020 and when I tried to get into the Urgent Care they told me they wouldn't be able to see me for 2 days so I had to find an out of network provider to get an Xray that cost me $185. went to Andrews Institute for follow up and they sent me to get an Xray at the imaging dept on campus. I asked them prior to setting the appointment to confirm my copay for the Xray. They replied that there was no copay. 2 weeks later I went to get the follow up Xray and asked the person at the counter about copay and I was told there was no copay. I handed her my insurance card and asked her to please confirm, 5 minutes later before going to get the Xray, she said no copay. 30days later I received a bill for $250 for a copay. I have been trying to get this handled through my insurance and Baptist for 4 months and today ended up paying what they said was a reduced rate of $80. I am not a happy customer and will never go back to Baptist. There are too many other choices at this point to have to pay for someone else's lack of work!!
