I cannot stress how fantastic this practice is. Dr. Stover actually takes his time with you and hears everything you have to say. He treats every problem (big and small) with respect and explains everything to you. I had to bring my 3 children in with me, twice now, and each time the staff is welcoming and understanding. The front desk staff is friendly and the nurses are fantastic! I have never been to a more caring and respectful doctor before! I also love the portal, where they can communicate with me. So happy to have found this practice.

Dr Stover seems to be a very nice man, good Dr. His staff and answering service, however, are not on the same level as he is. I left messages with his service to reschedule appointments that were never answered. His front office help comes off as being very smug. The office staff comes across as not very caring or understanding. I was recently booted out of the practice for missing appointments, they said I was a no-show. While I did miss one appointment because I simply forgot, The other appointments I called at their lunch hour and left detailed messages that I needed to reschedule. They say that they never received the messages...crazy. So the receptionist informed me that I had been kicked out. Very disappointed in the customer service that I received from them. It makes me wonder if the doctor was fully informed of the situation. It almost seems like the reception people make the decision to terminate patients. I am a disabled man and I can truthfully say that Dr.Stovers staff is doing him a great disservice. What’s sad is I believe he is a truly good Dr and a very good person.

Dr Blanke is amazing! I've been dizzy for years and always felt unwell. Even under the care of other doctors. 2 months after starting with Dr Blanke and I'm no longer dizzy. He got me straightened out and now I have a new lease on life. I feel strong and healthy. I'm losing weight and I've honestly never felt better. All his staff members are so amazing too. I am going back to school now and going to start my career before I hit 40 years old. I can't thank him enough for all his help.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dr. Stover and staff were amazing. I hate to see a few bad reviews lower the score of an amazing office. Really is a GREAT place to go. This was my first appointment, and the process was very painless. Highly recommend Family Practice of NSB.

Dr stover is the man!!!.in my experience He’s the first dr. In Florida that isn’t trying to just take my money every month. I was having issues w prior authorizations between the secretary and my RX provider. I expressed my concern and we found a viable solution that was practical and cheaper then every other place I’ve been. The is a degree of trust and professionalism that I’ve yet to see anywhere else.

Dr Stover has redeemed himself. We had a follow up appt and he felt very bad for my mother's condition from the medication. He has really shown humility and concern for my mother. I have revised this review because I am a believer in making things right and doing the right thing. Now I appreciate the care Dr Stover has shown towards my mom.
Thank you!

I don’t like to leave negative feedback, but I feel it would be a disservice to future patients if I didn’t. I took my friend to Halifax Health New Smyrna Beach Family Practice located at 807 FL-44, NSB for headache pain. She was scheduled with Amy Freeman PA-C. Amy took time to review my friend's medical history. She is in chronic pain due to degenerating disks in her spine, and Hill-Sachs deformity, and has a prescription for pain medication. I was impressed with Amy's no-nonsense attitude; my friend was not happy that after 10 minutes the reason she came there was not addressed yet. The conversion on how to alleviate the headache came about, and I asked if her getting an updated prescription for her medication would help. At the mention of this Amy became tense and let us know that the laws have changed and she cannot prescribe them. My friend stated that was fine, she only took medication when the pain was unbearable, and she doesn't like taking pills. She was there to find out why she had an ongoing headache. She was prescribed a Medrol pack and told to get blood work done, call a neurologist, and a pain management office, which she did. (The neurologist and pain management office were too expensive to consider). The blood work results were sent to Halifax Health.

A week later she received a registered letter from the office. It was a dismissal letter with the reason of "Non-compliance w/recommended treatment plan." My friend had done all the Certified Physician Assistant asked her to do. I wanted to find out the actual reason that my friend was no longer welcome in their office. After 3 phone calls, we found that the real reason was because Amy thought my friend was there to obtain pain medication. This was surprising, and insulting, given that Amy was told she only takes them when absolutely needed. It was also discovered that Amy has sent out more than a few of these form letters, letting patients know, "After careful consideration, it has been decided it would be in your best interest for you to transition away from the Halifax Health New Smyrna Beach Family Practice.”

On one of the phone calls I was told that Amy "can tell signs of these things" (someone abusing/trying to get prescription pain medication) and makes a judgment on this and sends out the letter. Once the letter is written, it's done, after 30 days, that patient is no longer welcome in the office to see Amy Freeman, PA-C or any other medical staff member.
I do appreciate Amy Freeman being truthful about why the dismissal letter was sent. As stated earlier, I was impressed with her. With no insurance, the pricing was fair. I was going to recommend my adult children to this office, but will not be doing that now. After this misjudgment of my friend's character (after being seen only 1 time), I will not be referring anyone.

I'm disappointed that what I thought would be a good family practice resource to have, was not the case. My friend quipped to me, "Well, I'm overweight, white, and have no insurance - I guess that makes me a drug addict."

I’m sure Amy had her reasons for sending the letter. People make judgment calls, not always correctly. It’s so disheartening to find a doctor’s office you feel comfortable in to then be sent a dismissal letter for no valid reason.

You may wish to consider another family practice if you are in chronic pain, take pain medication (or even mention pain medication in your conversation). I would have rated them 4 or 5 stars, but I am rating 1 star due to the Certified Physician Assistant making a poor judgment on
a patient's character, in my opinion, and then sending out a form letter with a fabricated reason for dismissal. I wish continued success to Amy Freeman and the staff. Reading other reviews, it looks like there are satisfied patients. I can only reflect on my experience. I wanted to alert other people who get this form letter, that the reason of "Non-compliance w/recommended treatment plan" may not be the actual reason you are being dismissed from their office. You may have been misjudged.

Called to make a new patient appointment. You have to physically go to the office, fill out a form and wait for them to "approve" you to come to their office and then they will call you to make an appointment. I've never heard of such a thing in my entire life. I don't plan on going to this office simply due to the inconvenience.
