Terrible administration and ZERO accountability. Their "Patient Experience" people are just there to listen to complaints; they cannot solve ANYTHING.
Problems are passed around like a game of hot potato.
Keep your expectations very low. Don't expect reliability.

My mom just had a lung valve procedure done at U of M health and we had a great experience. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and helpful. They took great care of my mom. I wanted to say a special thanks to Carlos DeVarona , RRT, CPFT. He was the first person we encountered on the unit to check in and he went above and beyond to help us and make us all feel comfortable. He even went downstairs to make sure my sister could join us. He showed us the valve that would be implanted and told us how it would work, brought chairs for everyone, offered water and genuinely seemed to care and love what he was doing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Carlos!

Dr. Yeney Andrade has been an excellent professional and with a lot of dedication she has been very kind to me at all times she helped me a lot with her knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of my disease. Thank you for always being aware of me and always answering me with my doubts. Thank you a thousand times and I hope that God continues to bless you with health and a lot of wisdom with all your patients to be able to make a difference as you have done with me.

Eternally grateful for all your support.
Sincerely

It's the worst hospital in all Florida. My boyfriend broke a finger and they had him from 8 am to 10 pm lying on a bed IN THE HALLWAY enduring the terrible pain and they did not operate him. They just sewed his finger and that's it. I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE. And not to mention the mistreatment from his nurse. And to top it off, when he was discharged, they told him that his stitch was wrong and they had to take it off and do it again. We are totally disappointed

Very disappointed. Since April I’ve been dealing with coding errors by UMiami and the insurance has denied the claim as a result. Trying to resolve the issue has gotten me nowhere. Each phone call to the billing department and I get a different answer each time, truly incompetent. I’ve sent two emails and a phone call to Mr. Stojakovich the executive director of revenue, no response. They don’t care, regardless of what they may say.

BEWARE! They will charge you 10x the cost for simple procedures and provide subpar care. I had an ear infection and had to have an ENT treat it and remove some ear wax. My cost for ear wax removal was $554.88 (with insurance). The hospital facility charge is completely bogus. It took two weeks to get an appointment, and when I went the doctor prescribed me vinegar and alcohol (which made the other issue in my ear that she did not identify worse).

I went to see her several times, and then she said my ear infection was gone. However, I was still experiencing symptoms. I refused to go back and went and saw someone at South Florida ENT Associates. The doctor got me in next day, and he diagnosed my problem. I also needed to have ear wax removed. The charge to remove the ear wax was 14.48 (with insurance).

I was told by two people that the University of Miami justifies its cost because they have the best providers and are an 'elite' institution. That is just simply not true.

One of the doctors I've seen here, a cardiologist, was outright rude and dismissive - and acted like I was wasting his time. I don't think I've met a provider here who made me feel cared for or treated my health needs accurately.

Meanwhile, the ENT I saw outside of U of M? He called me mid week to check in on me and see if I was feeling better. That is quality care. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this network. And if you find yourself needing a hospital? Head to Baptist.

The UM hospital doubles charges for office visit, THEN they try to tell me out-patient and office visit are the same. The kicker here is the ENT specialist made less than the hospital by $300 for a 15 min visit which they tried to bill 30 mins. Their excuse was even after I left they still charge to finish the paperwork!!!! White collar crime at the HIGHEST Level. It doesn't surprise me why the healthcare is so expensive in this country.
Be aware of this Hospital
