I have called 5 times spoke twice to a receptionist.
I just need my son evaluated. He’s having so much trouble in school with reading and behavior. Ask them if they take CHAMP VA and she couldn’t give me a solid answer so she said that she will call me back. I waited 24 hours. I never got a call back so I called again and she took my son’s information to see if they would run the insurance and I never got a call back again then I called back three more times and I left voicemails and still have not received a call back. Very unprofessional.

Update**
After 6.5 months I got my results and the staff acted as if they were shocked I somehow didn’t receive them prior yet they had no record of sending them, they mentioned they made some changes to the staff and told me to come in right away for a copy of my report. I will say my original visit here was great, they were kind and caring and thorough, I gave a 1 star review after 5+ months passed without my results and calling and emailing wasn’t getting me anywhere either. I now have my report and it’s a thorough assessment and I can tell it was done when it was supposed to be, a bad receptionist shouldn’t ruin people from seeing great doctors however patients require the results before insurance will pay for the help they need and mental health issues cannot wait 6 months as a patient could be suffering. If you’re needing an evaluation, stay on them for your results, however I think the doctors are great if you’re looking for regular psychological care and not any sort of report.

My old one star review:
I was seen here in June, I still have not gotten any results from my visit, it’s November so now been 5 months!! I have called and emailed numerous times with no answer or information. I do not recommend this place.

I was impressed with the receptionist, and how quick they were able to get my twins in for testing. I didn’t like the fact I had to bring my twins on different days, as we were the only people there on both days. So two separate trips, yet nobody else in the office? My son saw Dr. Elmore, who is very knowledgeable along with having great patiences. I was super impressed with him, and wish my daughter would’ve seen him. Dr. Santana and him I believe are married. I spoke with Dr. Santana who briefly told me that my son didn’t have autism because he could communicate, make eye contact, and tell me how he felt. She told me good job for making it go away, like how does autism just go away My son is high functioning autistic (my son has all the stems), along with adhd due to being born at 27 weeks with his twin sister.
Dr. Santana saw my daughter, which my husband had to take her to that appointment. I don’t feel she was in-depth like Dr. Elmore, based on questions I’ve asked my husband. I told them I desperately needed these reports for their IEP meetings at school. My husband had been calling all week to get the reports faxed, and supposedly they did! But I don’t think they ever did. I had to call and email to get the reports to the school. I finally got a response from Dr. Santana by email who said they close early on Fridays! I said well I need my reports that your office was supposed to have already sent!!! She told me she would get it faxed before the meeting. Well the reports weren’t faxed till Sunday, and Monday morning the person who checks the faxes at school had a schedule training . So it wasn’t until after the meeting they get the reports, like really My reports were supposed to be completed 8 weeks after our appointments, which was after due to Thanksgiving holiday. I understand the holiday, but you couldn’t get the reports completed before then? I feel the reports were copied and pasted for both my kids on certain areas, and other parts made no sense. Dr. Santana seems extremely unknowledgeable, which is sad because she is supposed to be a Neuropsychologist. I will never recommend this place to any parents who are trying to get their children tested.

I TOO do not under any circumstances recommend that anyone go to these people for any type of screening or tests. My son received a referral with testing starting in September 2020, and the receptionist at the time dismissed our concerns concerning our son resulting in us walking out.

We returned only because Dr. Elmore assured us a more personal test based on our son, and how he reacts not others before him, as told to us by the receptionist. Although testing is a 4 hour test we were allowed to reschedule due to the child getting tired. We were rescheduled after Dr. Santana gave birth and was not completed until until January 2021, after placing more than one request.

The receptionist tried to give us a different doctor to complete testing. We were not informed of new location until 13 minutes prior to appointment, and waited over 45 minutes for doctors to show up because “they had to put kids on bus” according to receptionist. Dr. Elmore completed the appointment but we had to wait for Dr Santana (who only observed testing no more than 10 minutes) to write the results. They were given paperwork with updated contact information for both parents, and the results were sent to the wrong address. Information was used from paperwork the receptionist said was not in their possession 3 months prior, so updated paperwork from 25 January was disregarded.

I TOO called at four weeks and was told it would be about two weeks. Called two weeks later and was told Dr. Santana was down South, is the only Dr. that writes results, and they were sent to the wrong address of only one parent (it was updated in January during appointment/phone call to give results after almost 12 weeks.

The female receptionist was not experienced in her job, and was not professional enough to work with children under 8 that she was told are on the Autistic Spectrum.

Even though Dr. Elmore worked well, and was patient with our child he wasn’t the one that did the report. It was not accurate according to what we discussed during the testing I observed at the final session.

I do not recommend this based on our experience, and we are in the process of having our child retested.

Visited recently and was very happy to have my pre-op consulting discussion handled in one session. My first trip to a Psych office, I have nothing to compare it to. But very professional staff and was worked into their schedule very quickly. I would definitely recommend this office!

Was told that I would get results around four weeks. Have been waiting OVER two months. I had to call them every week and each time they say they will get it to me within a few days. However, when I recieved my results, I got a very very good report back. Almost everything had been noted and nothing forgot. It delved into multiple tests and the conclusions of each test. I wouldn’t go to them if you are in need of medication soon but if you are looking to know about the issues in deep explaination and have the time to wait, this is the place to go

It’s really disappointing to see all of the one star reviews here just because of delays with testing/results. Dr. Santana did my evaluation in late 2019. The wait for results was closer to 8 weeks which was a bit frustrating at the time, but in the end I had an extensive report that Dr. Santana explained to me in detail. She answered all of my questions and helped me get scheduled with a therapist in her office pretty immediately. I saw Regina for a few months until she moved, then I started seeing Matt who is an incredible therapist. The clinicians here made a significant positive impact on my life & their help was invaluable. It’s been almost a year since I stopped attending therapy weekly but I’m still able to get the occasional appointment when I need one, even after moving out of state.

Do not under any circumstances go to these people for any type of screening or tests. I took some simple screenings 9 weeks ago and was told results would take 4 to 6 weeks. I called at four weeks and was told it would be about two weeks. Called two weeks later and was told Dr. Santana was having trouble accessing the files. They then refused to send my doctor the results until they went over the results with me via a phone appointment.

9 weeks later and I have a phone appointment scheduled for today at 1230pm. I called 2 hours prior to verify that they had my doctor's fax number. The receptionist told me that Dr Santana had my file in her hands and she would verify that they had the fax number. The same woman called me less than an hour before my scheduled appointment time and told me the doctor wouldn't be in the office all week.

These people lie to you. These people do not return phone calls. They have given my wife and I different answers when we call.
