Took my daughter there on a Saturday a few weeks ago with flu like symptoms. After signing a bunch of paperwork the sign in lady, Katherine, said my co-pay was $100. I didn't think this was correct as we paid a $10 co-pay the last time we were there. She then said we could pay $30 and be billed for the rest. Unable to reach anyone at my insurance company, we ended up leaving. On Monday I left work early to take my daughter back to urgent care after verifying with my insurance company that my co-pay was $12.
A different check in lady quickly confirmed that the co-pay was $12. Not sure why Katherine couldn't/wouldn't check what our co-pay was.
My daughter was diagnosed with Flu A and prescribed Tamaflu, which is more effective the sooner you take it. So my daughter had to suffer for 2 extra days over this, prolonging her illness and missing an entire week of work. It's disappointing because it really was unnecessary. We could have had everything taken care of on the first visit by just verifying the co-pay. I will say that was the only time we have had any issue there.

Over in US on holiday and needed some non urgent medical attention. These guys were brilliant. Walked in, gave a few details and saw the doctor within 30mins. $150 which included discount for prescription; excellent. Staff were so friendly from the chap at the door to the receptionist and the doctor. Can’t fault these guys. Thankyou.

I needed lab work and an X-ray. My provider recommended I go to one of the SMH urgent care sites. When I arrived at the Venice urgent care, it was PACKED! Nearly standing room only and I almost left. I was called to the desk within minutes, taken to X-ray within minutes from checking in and was walked to lab from radiology.
The professionalism I encountered was outstanding! My experience with SMH Venice urgent care is the best I’ve ever encountered.

Just wanted to share my experience with the staff and Dr. Stone this week. Everyone was very very nice and Dr. Stone was just top notch. His bedside manner is excellent! He made all 3 of my kids (11, 7, and 1) all feel so comfortable and that is no easy task. He was very kind and knowledgeable - I was grateful to get him! Thank you!!

I was greeted by a jovial gentleman at the door who provided me with instructions. Kristine served me at the front desk and she was lovely, friendly and helpful. Rob was the tech who did the CT scan and realizing that I have severe back issues was particularly helpful, accommodating, very amicable, and showed true concern for my pain and provided me as much comfort as he could. If I should need a scan in the future, hopefully not, this is where I’m going to go.

I had the best experience during my visit to this health facility. From the nice man who greeted me as I entered to the nice young lady who processed my paperwork. Not too mention Rob the technician. He was cordial communicative knowledegeable and took away my anxiety. The whole experience was pleasant.

We visited the location to get a prescription for an antibiotic eye cream and received one after being attended for several minutes by a medical professional who was not an MD.
The bill for that several-minute visit came on a Sarasota Memorial Hospital letterhead and was over $400. I had a bill of over $400 before; it was for a thorough examination by a leading orthopedic surgeon, after I had been informed that that would be the cost.
The bill for the urgent care visit in question was also fraudulently claiming that we were attended by an MD. I googled the name of that MD. We did not see that MD during the visit, not even casually passing by us in a corridor.
I filed a request with SMH billing department to adjust the charge to reflect the service actually provided. No one got back to me. I kept on receiving the bill.
I had to call SMH several more times, until they told their decision, 'This amount is correct because our rules say we have a right to charge you this amount'.
The decision was communicated to me by the first-line billing department customer service as their supervisors refused to speak to me or return my calls.

After having major pneumonia earlier this year, I went to this Urgent Care because I was having symptoms similar to the ones I had before. My records were on file and thoroughly reviewed, revealing information that I had not previously known. To say the least, I was impressed with the Doctor's careful attention to detail, his interest in my concerns, and the exam he gave me to determine the proper course of treatment. I was prescribed an antibiotic, and given instructions on how to boost my immune system, all of which I followed. Within twenty-four hours I started to take a turn for the better and was quickly on the mend. I highly recommend everyone at this Urgent Care. I received excellent care from the front desk to the exam room and out.
