Dr. Copeland is very intelligent, creative, and caring. You don't often get that combination in a doctor. Rest assured you can get started with him and see light at the end of the tunnel. He and his wife are genuinely nice people and he went above and beyond for our family. If we need anything, he'll be the first one we'll call.

*caveat* Before you read this review, I am a firm believer like dentists, lawyers and financial advisors…doctors are an extremely personal decision. Not every doctor is going to fit every personality nor should it. That said, I fully admit before I met Dr. Copeland I was in a lot of pain. Was in pain for over a decade. Lacked trust in all people with titles that started with the letters ‘psych.’ Dr. Copeland convinced me I was wrong. Below is my humble opinion:

There is nothing more to say other than compared to over 10 VA therapists in four separate hospitals over the last 15 years….Hallelujah we finally found someone who actually gets it!!!

Telecare Support-Love that Dr. Copeland offers this option. This is really important as family schedules get hectic.

—-For veterans who have seen and been through multiple traumas, multiple TBIs, multiple accidents, have physical and mental pain points…Dr. Copeland is your Doctor to talk to. He offers many types of healing modalities. If you hate medicines or trying to stop taking medicines, perhaps he can help you as he has helped our family.
-He is a man who has life experience, combat experience, truly listens to the patient, doesn’t give you those typical responses that make you want to puke..’how does that make you feel?’….’well, you have to put in the work to see progress…’ blah blah blah..no patronizing here..thank goodness!!
-Dr. Copeland doesn’t make a combat veteran feel ashamed, relive the trauma over and over again like some believe will magically make veterans feel better. Maybe this works for some Hasn’t worked in our household. Just makes us angrier and never go back..
-We love talking to Dr. Copeland because he has a way to draw out those memories without creating more pain and more anger.
-The best way to describe it is that he mentors/coaches/guides us to heal our own pain. He helps us understand where and why we are in so much pain. While it may sound intuitive, everyone needs that one special person who believes in you..who can coach you..for us that is Dr. Copeland.
-He offers humor when you need it. He offers his ear when you need it. He offers mentorship when you may not want it but you absolutely need it.
*He is a busy busy man!! So for those of us who need him or refer him to those in need, please please cancel your appointment early so someone else can have the appointment. He is truly a precious commodity that needs to be shared*

I cannot say enough good things about David. My entire life as I knew it was lost over the course of a few days; I was completely shattered. Through a variety of techniques, David helped me to pick up the pieces and reemerge as a stronger, more grounded person. He didn't wave some sort of magic wand, rather he helped me to allow myself to ask the necessary questions, recognize what exists (and what does not), and choose to redeem my life and move forward. Thanks to David's help, I am beginning to live life from a place of abundance.
