I was recommended to this team by a former therapists who praised how LGBTQ friendly the are and I was blinded sided. The only reason I stayed with them was for the convenience of remote sessions, flexibility with scheduling and they took my insurance. The only doctor at the time who had availability. Miesel’s team is the worst for psychiatry ever. They’re just eager to get your money and don’t care about your needs or concerns. Their doctors suck and their secretaries or whoever idiot they hire to answer the phone and text line or even worse. Totally incompetent team. The only doctor who was okay was a young black woman who I saw briefly and then suddenly was no longer working with them. I wasn’t even given a notice she left. I just got stuck with a doctor who clearly wanted to get my session over with. Rude, inconsistent, and money hungry firm.

You will walk out of his office feeling like you are his only patient. That’s how much attention and care he provides during your visit. From his attentive office staff to the convenient online portal, he makes visits easy and stress free. Never going anywhere else.

It only took two visits for me to realize this practice was wildly incapable of providing complete and adequate mental health services.

The initial appointment went well enough, despite the provider being 6 minutes late (wild, given their very strict patient "5 minute policy"). The provider seemed knowledgable and listened to my concerns. We scheduled the next appointment to discuss medication management options.

The next appointment was 20 minutes long and the provider completely failed to explain how I should appropriately ween off one medication and onto the next. I wasn't aware any process was needed until I started experiencing physical withdrawal symptoms. I had to GOOGLE what I should be doing. I tried to contact the office via text / application, and I could not / would not receive a response from my provider, as the office was "closed".

(I had contacted the pharmacy as well and they had directed me back to the provider for instructions.)

The "front desk" will not answer the phone, communication was only through text message. When I explained my dissatisfaction with the blatant negligence (via text message, since, again, they will not answer the phone) I received a "Thanks for letting us know".

Look elsewhere.

I had been seeing a provider at this office for a little over a year. Today I had an urgent issue and could not reach anyone. When I was contacted by someone, I was asked to find a new provider.

If you would like to be treated with respect, dignity, or compassion, then I cannot recommend this practice. I did like my provider (who was not Mr. Meisel) but I was disappointed that she didn’t have my back either.

Dr Meisel was great but his support staff is very difficult and the app they use is tricky. When we arrived 6 min late for an appt, the dr (not dr Meisel, you only see him once) would not see us and charged us a 100 dollar late fee even though, by one account, their grace period is 10 min. (We were late bc of app issues). I explained what happened and asked for the fee to be waived but was denied. We won’t be going back.
