I've been seeing Dr B for several years now. He has been a good Dr. to me. Yes they do overbook but that's Baptist, not Dr. Benton. He's doing the best he can within Baptist guidelines. Yes you must wait. He takes his time with everyone, as he should.

Only giving 1 star because he referred me to someone else, outside of his office. Dr. Benton is very entitled, impersonal, and extremely judgmental. I was looking for a new doctor when I moved to Navarre in 2023. Unfortunately, with little research, I ended up finding Dr. Benton’s office. At my first visit I asked about him renewing some of my expired prescriptions, he then explained he would need my medical records before he could make a decision (understandably so). Fast forward 3 months, I come for a follow up and he states I now need to get a physical, pap, and blood tests before he would then feel comfortable to prescribe my medication. I set up and attend ALL of those appointments, only to return for my 3rd visit to be told he STILL didn’t want to prescribe me any medication or change my treatment plan (mind you that I’ve been on this same medication for the better part of 9 years). I left furious and said I’ll give it one more try after I took some time to cool off. At my FOURTH visit he is rude, condescending and outright judgmental. I left his office in tears, the front desk lady apologized profusely (his office crew is wonderful). He is NOT a good doctor, he does NOT care for his patients, and he does not have anyone’s best interests at heart. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Dr. Benton was one of the first doctors I saw when moving to Navarre. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He talked over me and never once asked me questions about diet, health, or past illnesses. I told him I moved from Georgia and had high blood pressure which I was prescribed medicine for. He told me I most likely did not have high blood pressure and that the meds I was given was not for that. I am now with a wonderful doctor who does his job well and am definitely on blood pressure medicine. If you want a physician that cares for you and is thorough this most definitely is not the one.

Dr Benton and Nurse Practitioner, Clair Adkinson, are both INCREDIBLY patient, compassionate, and helpful. I get intimidated by doctor visits, but my appointments with both of them were very easy going, solution-oriented, and a safe space to discuss my concerns and hear well informed responses. I appreciate doctors who literally don’t rush me, but they did not rush me at all! In fact, I came in with a note of things I wanted to discuss, and they chat through all of them with me in full.
I’d also like to give a shoutout to the front desk associates. I don’t remember one of their names, but I was helped by Kristy and the other associate, and they are both personable and helped me with scheduling!

Dr. Benton is a very personable man. He listens! He involves the patient and doesn't just bulldoze you with his decision and shove you out the door like some doctors do. I appreciate his approach to patient care.

Dr. Benton is a wonderful doctor, very kind, patient, and thorough in his care and explanations. My husband and I have been seeing him for 6 years and are very pleased with the care we receive.

Dr. Benton is genuinely concerned about my health. However, he is often at least 45 minutes late to my appointment time. And when he does come in, he is unfortunately only available for about maybe five minutes. I do not think this is actually his fault . . . I think he is being over-booked. He has been great about sending me to specialists to address my many health issues, though. I have BC/BS Federal insurance coverage. They only charge me $25 per visit. Blessings to all whom see this message. God is always watching over you! 🙂
