If getting a blood draw at a lab can be pleasant, this experience at Baptist Beaches Outpatient Lab was! Check-in/registration was easy and efficient, the facility is beautiful and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, there was practically no wait time, and believe it or not, I barely felt the needle go in by the very capable technician. I even found a nearby parking space in front of the main entrance. Test results were in my Baptist online portal by the end of the same day!

So unprofessional. This place is horrible. Their ER is pathetic. The staff doesn’t even wear uniforms or even scrubs and dresses like they are at the gym. The ER doc is disengaged and only cares about looking and acting “cool”. In a recent visit with a person complaining of chest pains, numbness in arms and face, could not speak and nodding in and out of consciousness, it took over 15 minutes to get checked in and another 10 just to get looked at. The nurses could not find the proper equipment to take blood pressure or even the leads for the EKG machine. The ER doctor thought it was a gym injury and suggestion ibuprofen for the chest pain while discounting and ignoring all the other symptoms. Long story short, the following day we were in a different hospital for five days after a serious misdiagnosis from Beaches Baptist. Not unexpected as the hospital is a complete joke.

From the moment I walked through the door at the ER, I was greeted with kindness and uplifting care. A great deal of stress relief was felt immediately. There was not a single person in the hospital staff that was not pleasant and helpful from beginning to the hour I was released on Thursday evening. Professional, kind, knowledgeable and caring applied to all of your staff. In that I have no family here, it gave me a great sense of relief.

This entire hospital is filled with nurses who have horrible disgusting attitudes and the worst lack of empathy I have ever seen in my entire life. They treated my family member horribly and almost never wanted to assist any of us with anything. I’m not sure what they show up to work for, but it certainly isn’t to help patients or show kindness to anyone.

Ample parking. Pleasant, not tons of paperwork sign in. Knowledgeable insurance checker and co-pay staff in private spaces. Walking directions to the actual lab as you leave. After a quick wait at the lab, you’re in! Again, privacy and kind staff take care of business and get you on your way.

I wish I could give less than one star. We went and waited for HOURS with my son who is 5 . He has just suffered a febrile seizure the day prior and was admitted and released from down town. He started to spike a high fever again (105+) with a heart rate in the 180s his ped recommend we get to the closest hospital immediately. We took this advice and went to beaches . TWO SEPARATE people refused service and left ahead of us because of how long they made my baby suffer and wait . Additionally. The triage nurse was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any hospital . She was rude, condescending and ignored our concerns and was very dismissive . We asked for tylenol 3 separate times twice before he was due for his next dose ( because we have been waiting so long) we wanted to make sure he was not going to have another seizure AND GIVE THEM AMPLE TIME TO GET IT TO US . We and our concerns were ignored multiple times . The triage girl also did not listen to our concerns on the method of taking his temperature which resulted in a false read . Our son has an oral sensory delay and doesn’t do well with under the tongue thermometers and we have been advised to use an ear or a rectal for him. She refused to do this and kept saying “he didn’t have a high temp “ her read was 99+ and ours was 105.7 In The ear thermometer that we brought for him. After everything once we finally were brought to a room HOURS LATER we ended up having a phenomenal nurse named Alyssa Hatfield who was beyond accommodating and listened to our every concern and made our son feel very comfortable and safe which is a hard ask for a 5 year old in a Hospital. . Overall our experience was horrific and the triage nurse or whatever she was does not need to work in the medical field . I hope no one else ever experiences this with their child. After all of this I’d like to mention we had to be transferred to Wolfsons and admitted because my son ended up being incredibly sick and was diagnosed with viral Myositis .

I went after lunch and there was NO waiting! Paperwork done in a second, labs taken efficiently (and painlessly) and I was on my way. Just the best place to get labs done.
