Savannah Grand was like coming home to a family that you didn’t know you had. I have enjoyed every moment and every interaction. The staff are caring and loving and the residents are involved in activities all day long. They are batting 1000.

My mother was a resident at Savannah Grand for 3 months from December through February of 2023. I had to move her out because they couldn’t provide the medical care that she needed. There is not a medical nurse on staff and this was a big problem since she is diabetic. The director stated that they could meet her needs but she didn’t follow through and made promises that she could take care of checking her blood sugar levels but I saw no record of this being done. When I had issues and needed to talk to someone I was unable to reach anyone, very poor communication. When I told the director we were moving my mother out we talked to the director and she said we were all paid up and check out. A month later I got a bill from them and when I tried to talk to someone about this bill no one ever returned my calls. Another month later I was served for a court appearance because of money they said I owed. I hired a lawyer and this case dragged and I decided to settle and pay half of the amount which I thought was very unfair to my mother. To add to this nightmare Savannah grand did not send invoices to her long term care insurance during the time she was there. I refused to pay anything until these invoices were sent in. I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for care for their family.

Savannah Grand is a cozy, safe and fun place for the care of a loved one. The residents and staff are super sweet and there is almost always something to do. The rooms are light and bright and always clean. I love watching family members sit comfortably on a couch with their mom or dad as if they were home. This place was a surprise to us, a very nice surprise. It started with Britny showing us around and assuring us everything would be okay and now it's about so many others we interact with so often. We are grateful.

My mother-in-law is a resident at Savannah Grand. I have been so impressed with SG since she moved in there a year and a half ago! The staff are friendly and super attentive to the needs of the residents and their families. There are a number of activities for the residents, and the special events (there are several!) are imaginatively and wonderfully planned, and SO much fun to attend! The meals there are delicious and healthy. Savannah Grand has been a great home for my mother-in-law!

Savannah Grand of Amelia Island is the Very BEST Assisted Living Facility anywhere. My parents moved in during 2017 and they have been very happy and extremely well cared for. My Dad passed in 2019 and my Mom is doing fine. The staff is personal and everyone is treated like family. SG has been extremely careful and safe during this pandemic which has resulted in high marks and healthy residents. Savannah Grand is Terrific!

I was looking for a home for both of my parents and had a few requests for specific things, like access to an outside patio from their room. Savannah Grand was incredibly accommodating! This community is spacious with beautiful and quiet surroundings. The staff were so kind and genuine and made me feel immediately comfortable as well. I have worked in healthcare for many years, including senior services, and have toured a large amount of Assisted Living communities so I knew exactly what to look for and ask. To sum it up, Savannah Grand was willing to accommodate my parent's needs and their customer service was stellar! Too bad there isn't a choice of 4.8 stars, as Savannah Grand would certainly deserve it. We selected SG as the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the physical location was terrific. The facility is close to the beach, shopping, medical and all essentials needed by the residents. Other residents are friendly, not cliquish and the staff does it best to make everyone welcome. It is a smaller facility and was not overwhelming to mom after living in her own home for so many years. Mom enjoyed playing the piano there but was not interested in other types of activities, but her apartment was nice, clean, close to the dining room and piano and she had a view to the Spanish moss-covered oak trees in back.
