I recently had a stay at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital and couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention I received. From the time I walked in the hospital, everyone was courteous and helpful. The nursing staff was very professional, personal and caring. The doctors thoroughly explained how things would go and did a brief follow up after in recovery. My experience was a positive one and I would return again for any testing procedures.

Very positive all around care. The doctor was very special, warm, caring, concerned, and very helpful. The nursing staff was caring and excellent despite the fact that I had reaction from decadron, part of anesthesia. I couldn't sleep, and my body was nervous inside, causing me to be very anxious. The professional charge nurse was very helpful. We need to continue to have experience nurses to teach new nurses.

Awesome! I was treated for a Non Cardiac Arrest Stroke. The whole time I was there is a bit of a blur. I know my family felt comforted and I remember the nurse braided my hair and kept me at ease.

For something so scary to happen, they made it easy and simple. I adore the nurses and doctors! And I'm incredibly thankful.

I had to have my appendix removed after being transported from Orlando Health Emergency Room in Lake Mary, FL. From the emergency room to the ambulance ride and then finally Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital, everyone was wonderful! All the staff were extremely nice, attentive and helpful. All took the time to answer and ask questions and kept me informed on my prognosis. Dr. Ortega is the BEST. He was very informative. honest and even gave me a courtesy call at home a few days after my surgery to check on me and my healing progress. In fact, if I ever have to have surgery again and it could be performed by him, he would be my doctor of choice!

This hospital is getting known as the death hospital.
You go in and never come out alive.
Our own experience from 2016 was almost that.
The hospital couldn’t handle the severity of my wife’s condition so they decided to release her to me so I could take her home to die. Of course I refused and insisted that they transfer her to another hospital ORMC and they did and she got better, not well but alive.
The ambulance personnel forced Lisa to walk from her couch-bed 20 feet to the front door and then down the stairs to the driveway all the while she was screaming in pain. I had to intervene and help her down the stairs and onto the gurney. Why did they make her do that?
I think that caused her to have a heart attack. At the hospital they were able to stabilize her with high oxygen levels. She had a large wound/black&blue mark on her chest that was extremely painful. I think that was from CPR.
The hospital staff doctors kept telling me that she would not make it and accept hospice care. They even talked Lisa into it without my consent. After talking with Lisa again she told me that she couldn’t take the pain again and was ready to go.
As soon as the oxygen level was reduced to the level she had at home she passed away within 10 minutes.
I was not satisfied with what they did or rather not do to save Lisa.

Other then told to be there at 8:30 which was 4 to 5 hours before my surgery my stay at the hospital was a good one. The nursing staff the doctors they were all very helpful and caring. The ortho group was also outstanding. For being in a hospital it was a good experience.
