After spending much time and energy researching Dr.Rivera and reading raving reviews I finally decided to schedule an initial visit as a new patient. The scheduling call was fine, she was accepting new patients, they verified acceptance of my insurance plan and scheduled my first visit. I asked for first available and it was over a month to get in. I scheduled regardless and then scheduled subsequent specialist appointments following a visit with Dr Rivera as I would need referrals from her. I replied to the confirmation texts from the office and was ready and eager to meet with my new physician. Two days prior to my visit, I received a phone call from the office that Dr. Rivera is no longer accepting new patients. Odd. They offered to reschedule my visit with another member of the practice, to which I agreed (assuming it would be within a reasonable amount of time seeing as it would be accommodating an appt which they were rescheduling)…. Wait for it…2 months out! This is not an acceptable way to run a practice. I would be ashamed if my front office treated potential patients with this horrific level of customer service. While Dr. Rivera may be an amazing physician, the scheduling is a joke. Good luck getting an appointment, and if you do, have a backup option in case she cancels on you as was my experience.
