I decided to do this review because I am extremely appreciative and grateful for Dr. Cortes he has helped me take control and improve myself into a More better and healthier life. He helped me change my life style. Because I was living reckless and not taking care of myself.

He not only helped me lose over 45 lbs but he helped me become free of diabetes. And for that I cannot thank him enough. If you’re looking for a great doctor who is caring and passionate about his profession than i would recommend him 1000%

Read the bad reviews, they are not lying. Beware. Good DR. Absolutely horrible office staff. Not everyone but four-five in particular. One name is Christina she hung up on me because she didn't like the fact that I was asking for the doctor to send blood work for me to have done. When I arrived for my appointment I reminded her that she hung up on me and that she's rude and she said yes. Also the staff member that is the triage person that walks you into the office and asks questions before you see the doctor she took Christina's side and was very rude to me too. And blamed me for being upset at how Christina's demeanor was. So basically she was sticking up for her friend in the office. Very unprofessional. 9:50 a.m. appointment to be told at 11:00 a.m. they are canceling my appointment and for me to take it up with administration I have a broken foot, are you serious? So you are rude to me and yet I get punished? I would run from this doctor's office just because of the front office staff because you have to deal with them 100% to deal with the doctor. They do not answer their phones during normal business hours, you will always get the answering service. You leave a message for the answering service you do not ever get a call back from the doctor or his staff. I was put on hold for 22 minutes I have a screenshot of it only to be told, after I finally decided to hang up and call again, the office was closed by the answering service. She asked me if I wanted to leave a message, I reminded her that I spoke with her the week prior and she left a detailed message for me and I never received a call back then answering service lady who answered the phone actually remembered and said wow they never called you? Then I receive a letter saying that I'm no longer their patient I wouldn't want to be a patient there, Ever. By the way the did the same thing prior to a CO worker who referred me there. Run I tell you, Run!

I have been a patient of Doctor Cortes for 20 years. I had other doctors when I moved to Miami 21 years ago until I found Dr Cortes. I must say that Dr Cortes is the only Doctor that I have known that doesn't take any shortcuts when it comes to health and makes sure that he looks at all the options and treatments until you are healthy. I have had numerous situations and conditions throughout the years where he literally saved my life. He is not like other doctors that is rushing you to get you of his office and see the next patient, he takes his time with every patient and gives you the time and attention you need. Dr Cortes has been my doctor for a few years. He is caring and so is his staff. Last year I went to him after feeling a nodule swollen in my thyroid. He sent me to have an ultrasound and referred me to an endocrinologist. Two biopsies were completed with undetermined results. I was not sure of what to do at that point. Dr Cortes encouraged me to remove my thyroid and so I did. Dr Cortes saved my life!!
My thyroid was positive for cancer. It was removed on time and no further treatment was necessary.
