She is wonderful!. I am a nurse at the surgery center as well as her patient. You want the nurses to love and trust your doctor and we do. She is a skilled surgeon with a great bedside manner. The office staff at her office has always been very on top of things as well.

I recently was taken off my cruise ship in Key West due to having diverticulitis with an abscess. I was terrified being in a strange place with doctors I knew nothing about. Dr. Rhoda Smith was amazing. She took such great care of me. I highly recommend her. She kept me out of the OR and treated me until I could get home. Thank you Dr.Smith so much for everything you did for me to keep me well!

I have diverticulitis and it is severe. Antibiotics no longer worked so doctor Smith and her team have taken Great care of me. They follow up and follow through. Truly a caring and professional team

One star because zero stars isn’t an option.

If you react poorly to Percocet, either don’t go here or tell them you’re allergic to it.
The surgeon won’t come brief your family post-operation about how it went.
If they agree pre-op to give you an anti-nausea med with the Percocet because they won’t give you anything else, get it in writing. You’ll have to fight to get even a mild anti nausea.
If you have any issues post surgery like vomiting for 18 hours due to the meds, go to the ER. Calling the office and talking to nurses does nothing. Showing up to the office to get answers does nothing. You’ll just get a shoulder shrug and a heartless “sorry”.

Dr smith performed a colon operation on me flawlessly. She has great bedside manners and is an excellent surgeon. Dont let the hospitals appearance fog your opinion of a surgeon.

Can't get an appointment without a referral. I was willing to get the surgery done based upon therecommendation of my primary care physician, but I am not going to make another appointment with my primary care just so that I can make an appointment with these guys.
